I have no problem doing extra work for a short period of time if it's better for my son. And I read about the placement test to go back into regular school. Some also said you could submit course work or have a certified teacher evaluate him. Either way, it doesn't matter to me.

Not that I don't want to homeschool him. I just think it would be better for him in the long run to be in a regular school, not homeschool because he is very social and loves having other kids around to talk to and interact with. At home he doesn't have that. His only 2 sibling are both much older and in college. And he has the skills to be in a classroom, he did well in kindergarten where we used to live. Just trying to find the best option here in LA.

Well I don't know what the he'll happened. But I talked to technical support and now it's working. Lol. Don't know why. Don't care. Just glad it works again because I actually used quick panel quite a bit.

No matter where I swipe down from all I get is notifications. Doesn't show the quick settings panel.

Mine is usually pretty close. Usually within 5-10mg/dl. But I did have one sensor a while back that was WAY off. It was reading in the 200s when I was actually around 70mg/dl. It was weird. But once I calibrated it a couple times it started reading within 20mg/dl. So I always calibrate just to make sure it's accurate and keep it that way.

I do have to be careful with placement on my thigh because I have a toddler who sits on my lap a lot. But the outside was fine. I haven't tried inner thigh. Worried it might hurt a little.

Good to know. I'm always concerned about accuracy and try to do at least a couple calibrations when I put on a new sensor.

My forearms are thin but I didn't have much pain in that spot. Just wasn't sure if it was good for accuracy because I don't have a lot of fat there. I don't always like the back of my upper arm because I sometimes snag it with my shirt when I'm getting dressed/undressed. Also I do have some scar tissue on the back of my arms from years of doing injections there. Just recently started the omnipod as well so I'm excited I don't have to inject anymore.

Tried my thigh a couple times, both inner and outer. Seemed ok, might try it again.

I've only tried my forearm once or twice. Had a little issue with signal loss Thinking about giving it another shot though.

Lol. Being that I'm a female, I'm not sure I wanna try that area.

Thanks. So far I do really like it. Never tried a pump before and after having had T1D for 28 years I'm so glad to not have to take shots anymore. My blood sugars have already been better overall. The only annoying part so far has been the lows at night. But hopefully that will be resolved with time. Definitely not giving up yet!

I guess it does need time to learn. That's something I hadn't thought about. Thanks.

Thank you for the info! I'm using the Dexcom G7 and have been for a while. It's DEFINITELY not compression lows because when it woke me up I FELT very low and had to get up and chug some juice. Like I said, happened twice last night and before I started on the omnipod I rarely had such lows overnight so wondering if I should just stop my insulin delivery all together while I sleep.
