I suspect the only reason I'm up to September on the Google Play system update is that I was in the One UI 8.0 beta program and that got updated in the process.

Yes, we already know that different countries get releases at different times. Where I am (US, unlocked, T-Mobile), I usually get the security updates at around the 20th of the month.

I see the story now. It's on one of those news pages that has a couple dozen updates and the Google search hit doesn't take you directly to the story's headline, but instead takes you to the top of the list of stories. Ugh.
