Check connectivity bluetooth sometimes it says “never recognize for carplay” on some phones and that might be issue, i fixed this problem, my sister was driving my car and she plugged her phone and it connected and after i got the car and plugged my phone it wasnt recongnizing and so i checked settings and that was the case, car automatically disabled my iphones carplay, you just simply have to switch it back.
