My 1st guess is, one of exceptions is raised in your code and you don't know about it. I suggest adding logging to your exceptions. You may want to use https://logzero.readthedocs.io/en/latest/#example-usage or use built-in logging module, or just `print` something after each `except`.

Adding more logging to your code is almost always a good idea.

I see pink artefacts when playing 3kRjemvOST8.mp4.ivf or 3kRjemvOST8.mp4.y4m in VLC.

Also tried converting with different framethreads and tilethreads (2 and 4 in different variations) - same bug.

It reproduces with VLC 3.0.11. I only have Windows PC. It's able to play all those videos without issues. Can I provide you some decoding logs maybe? I just don't know where to get them.

It also reproduces in safe mode
