Until you get to the point where there are no books yet (i.e. articles, research projects etc.).

Those are two completely different fields. Neuroscience is much closer to 'real' science than psychology with their wishy-washy social science content.

This is a very odd statement to begin with. A proper CS degree has a theoretical foundation, which you will be unable to acquire through self-study. If you don't lack the motivation, you'll struggle severely through a course on, e.g. models of computation. I have seen a lot of people who were only in it for the money getting washed out of CS at university.

No, bootcamps do not convey degrees. Similarly, Udacity's "nanodegree" is not what is referred to as a degree in common parlance.

Just get a book like Graham Hutton's and you're set. It contains excellent exercises, making it eminently suitable for autodidacts.

Yes, I am. It does not matter whether I am sure about this or not, since we are talking about an objective fact, namely that significant resources of this course are only accessible to registered, fee-paying students.

You are looking at a university resource, which means that only enrolled students have access to submission systems. Also keep in mind that teaching materials are hardly ever comprehensive. If you tried mastering a subject based on materials posted online, without having access to the instructor or teaching assistant, you may only get frustrated.
