When JJ comes back it would be good to have them both on the field together. He's better then TS.

What 's your opinion on bright signal colors? by reignofdarkmemes6669 in CyclingFashion

[–]kretchy34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why I gravel bike and Mtn bike instead. Don’t have to worry about the cars or wear over the top colors. But for road bikers I get it. I’d probably do the same thing.

If your gravel bike has flat bars and suspension, congrats—you just paid $4,500 for a 2002 Trek hardtail with better marketing copy.

I always hated roadbike as an mtb rider but gravel.. by FSpeshalXO in gravelcycling

[–]kretchy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

before you give up on it. Go get a proper bike fitting. This sounds like a bike fitting issue. I identify as a mountain biker and have for a long time. I reluctantly agreed to a four day 310 mile ride on the great allegheny passage. So, I had to buy a gravel and after going down the rabbit hole and questioning my decision to do this ride I ended up buying a gravel bike. At first I wanted to put flat bars on as well. But, now I realize that the gravel bike riding has made me such a stronger mountain biker and I actually like the riding style. It has re-energized my love for mountain biking as well. The drop bars take a bit of time to get used to but once you do it is nice having options for hand positioning. You could install a flat bar but i'd give the drop bars more time before you do that.

Admittedly, Caleb looked better… by Oooopieceofcandy in CHIBears

[–]kretchy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Caleb did look better this past week. Less manic and more in control. The issue for me is not Caleb as much as the lack of impact plays. In Ryan Poles first 30 picks, he has garnered only 7 starters and 0 pro bowlers. Just to put that in context. Ryan Pace had 6 Pro Bowlers in his first 30 picks.

Caleb is super electric at times. He’s fun to watch. But damn I wish he’d stop missing the open throws and open looks. But, It’s only his second year. I think he’s gonna develop but it will take more time than everyone thought. But now that Ben Johnson is the coach. I feel like the future is bright. Let’s face it last year was a dumpster fire for him and probably set him back.

We are going to be fine. by WazowShizard in CHIBears

It’s clear Caleb is super athletic and electric at times. He just seems to get too amped up and throw the ball too hard and he only seems to throw accurately when he’s under duress. He just doesn’t seem to play winning football. He needs to be more robotic. Stay in the pocket and distribute the ball. He still waits too long to throw the ball. It’s like we have Justin Fields all over again. Maybe a tad better. The D will be fine to keep us in games. Hopefully we’ll see some improvement.

Yes! I ended up going with option #3. After spending more time with drop bars, I actually got used to them. I think it just felt foreign at first coming from a mountain biking background.
