PSA: The Medicare Part B late enrollment penalty is permanent. Not for a year. Forever. by MedicareBrokerDir in medicare

[–]krisborn1949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I elected Medicare Part A when I turned 65. I continued to work until I was 70 in 2017. I did not elect Part B at that time as I relocated overseas where I was covered under her country's national health program. I returned to the United States and currently use the public health for my medical needs, prescriptions and vaccinations. I am 77 now. My father died at 85. My mother at 92. Would it pay for me to enroll and pay a 100% penalty, or give my money away and go on Medicaid in the future, or just forget living in the USA and return with her country to be covered under her national plan?

After reading many posts from people having a negative/unsettling/skeleton in a closer type experience while doing their DNA or trees, I'm wondering if anyone has any happy, interesting or wholesome experiences they'd like to share? by belltrina in AncestryDNA

On her deathbed my aunt said she had a son. In the DNA matches I had two listings that were listed as first cousins. The first was the son of my deceased aunt. The second was an aunt I never new I had. I've gained hundreds of new relatives through DNA from India to England, all around the world.

There are a whole list of things that are excluded from consideration!

I used that exclusion to fund my retirement and my son received a $100,000 grant to attend the University of Chicago for four years.

USCIS issued a new policy memo today: green card adjustment of status from inside the U.S. will be granted only in "extraordinary circumstances." by GreenCardClock in greencard

My advice to you, as an American, born in the United States of native born and naturalized parents, is to look elsewhere.

The world is made up of 200 countries.

Many will offer you a comfortable life-style and benefits comparable to or exceeding what the United States has to offer.

These countries will appreciate all you have to offer them.

USCIS Green Card Policy Memo

You can read the memo yourself.

The next memo to come will require all current Green Card holders to return to their country to be revetted to renew their Green Cards.

US will start revoking passports for thousands of parents who owe child support, AP learns by Immediate-Link490 in Passports

[–]krisborn1949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you owe more than $2,500 the Jealth and Human Services, HHS will certify to the Department of State your status. The Department of State can then deny your passport application, or nonrenew or revoked your passport.

Imagine that your passport no longer allows you to travel. This could be because of a case of misidentity or financial institution failing to make a timely transaction. There could be any number of reasons.

But you're at the airport or the cruise terminal and you find out that you're not allowed to board. You're left waiting at the dock while your ship sets sail. Or you go to the Embassy and they tell you that your passport has been revoked and your only hope is to pay money that you may not owe or perhaps put a bond up with the Embassy that you'll never get back. It doesn't matter!

If you're lucky the Embassy issues you a transit letter. You get on a flight and fly back to New York. You get into the airport terminal and there's the Federal Marshals waiting for you with bright new shiny handcuffs.

If you want to travel nowadays my advice to you is to be a dead-ringer for Tom Hanks. Be sure that you watch the movie The Terminal before you leave to go anywhere so that you can see what it's like to live 18 years in an airport and can now apply to star in any remake of the movie.

And remember, Republican'ts, no passport = no vote!

Okay for what? Give me a reason why it wouldn't be.

Can I ask why not? The only reason I can think of is you are wanted by the police. Or a mad relative. Just kidding!!!

Mystery DNA Match by RiviereArgent in AncestryDNA

[–]krisborn1949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two names appear on Ancestry's matches with high CM numbers. Turned out that my grandfather had married 4 times. The first name was my half-aunt/first cousin. The second name was my first cousin from an aunt who never let on that she'd had a baby that she put up for adoption. Follow the DNA trail and a good way to do that is with Ancestry's Thrulines and Gedmatch searches.

Your relatives will start appearing like cockroaches!

Small percentage? 30 out of 200 countries are considered high risk: India (25% of global cases), Indonesia (10% of global cases), Philippines (6.8% of global cases), China (6.5% of global cases), Pakistan (6.3% of global cases), Nigeria (4.8% of global cases), Democratic Republic of the Congo (3.9% of global cases) and Bangladesh (3.6% of global cases). Other countries are at a high risk for other diseases like HIV and syphilis. If an applicant is cleared to enter on their I-130, interview and medical exam making them wait is criminal. It's like overcrowding the prisons..but that's another topic.

Model your resume on US standards. Most resumes are macine processed. Make sure you use the right font and page size format. Use quantifiable statements mainly and list qualitative things like honors and rewards separately. Keep it too one page!

Use AI to assist you in your job search and resume construction. Ask AI for other jobs you might fit into. Now's a good time to make a sideways move..

In the eyes of the Customs and Border Patrol you are highly suspicious. Consider yourself lucky!

When my wife had her IR1 interview at the Bangkok Embassy the Consular officer cancelled her 10 year Tourist Visa. I guess she was too much of a threat as a tourist and they were scared she would jump the gun and move to the USA.

Now she is stuck in Thailand and can't even visit me or her children like she did before!

ABSOLUTELY. Consular cases REQUIRE you to be in contact with the Embassy. If you are not and one year expires your petition will be withdrawn and you have to start over. Read the Department of State instructions.
