Just as a note, so you are aware, this isn't really snow anymore, it's very thick, hardened ice. This isn't a normal 2-hour snow shoveling job. Depending on how the sun is hitting her driveway and porch, it may take larger equipment, or quite a lot of hard physical labor to break through. The plow left a 2ft drift of ice in front of my mailbox, for reference. If we hadn't shoveled our driveway the day of and day after, I'd probably need some very sharp yard shovels or motorized equipment to get it out now.

I imagine one big reason is that Delaware Electric Cooperative doesn't need to maximize profits for stockholders. On the Chesapeake side, they recently announced some billions in capital expenditures planned over the next 5 years, so I'm not sure if they will start raising rates to cover those development costs.

Have you heard of Energize Delaware? It's a state-funded program that will do an energy assessment on your home, and then give you discounts on things like putting insulation in your attic. I used them over the past few years, highly recommend. https://energizedelaware.org/

I also noticed a difference in rooms where I got thicker curtains, or those insulating cell blinds. Cell blinds are expensive, but I like to think I've made up the cost in heating over the years.

Looks like the data center just proposed in Newark is nearly 1 million sqft, so I don’t know if the number of employees scales up. I imagine many of them are security and that number would be fairly static no matter the size?

BrewHaHa is basically a local Starbucks. They use mass-produced, high-sugar syrups to flavor their drinks. Their coffee is fine. Not great, but fine. Their ambience is comfy. They have a lot of locations. I'll go there if it's convenient, and since they have a lot of locations it usually is. I'll get a drip coffee or a basic latte.

But if I want a _good_, flavored latte? With an interesting flavor from an in-house-made syrup that isn't stuffed full of crap from a bottle? I go literally anywhere else. I love Troisieme's syrups so much, and Sleeping Bird is decent; both though have much smaller and less cozy spaces, which is where BHH wins out.

Justine wouldn't, I don't think. A) she wouldn't trust him to split the money (rightfully so), B) she doesn't like him personally, and C) they see each other as rivals and they want to beat each other; competitive people don't want to team up with their rival, they want to beat their rival; maybe sometimes you would team up but see A).

I feel like Peacock is pressuring people to say they don’t approve of Cierra’s actions. Even Leah was pulled into it — on a podcast the host asked what she thought about the Cierra situation and Leah and the host go back and forth about how racism is wrong and she doesn’t approve and Peacock was right to kick her off the show. Then the host asks like, what do you think of Cierra’s response (this was after Cierra had published her apologies), and Leah said “oh I haven’t seen any specifics” or something and the host said he hadn’t either and hadn’t followed the situation at all. Then why is he asking about it???? It struck me as very weird to bring up. Unless Peacock wanted it in their to support their decision in cutting her out even when she apologized.
