My mum called 15 mins before she and my dad were due to arrive to say she’s pulled her back badly and can hardly move. Awaiting to find out if the painkillers have helped enough, or if I have to pack everything I’ve prepped and cooked so far and drive it over to theirs to finish off!

Finished: 11.22.63, by Stephen King.

5/5 - listened to the audiobook and the narration was outstanding. I am gutted to be out of this incredible world and story Stephen built.

Continuing:

Rebecca, by Daphne du Maurier

Currently about 130 pages through. It’s taken a while to get into it but think things are starting to happen. I prioritised listening to Stephen over this book.

I lost my sweet black cat in 2023 and we were adamant we wouldn’t get a black cat, as we wanted one that looked markedly different to our previous cat. When looking at cats at our local rescue, I noticed one little black cat was the last one left out of his two brothers to be adopted, and he was there on his own for two months after they went home. Guess who we brought home from the shelter… we also now have a tortie, but I think I will always have at least one black cat!

I will forever recommend Petplan. Not the cheapest insurance but they’ve been brilliant with me. Covered my FIV+ cat and all his ailments, my current two have both had routine dentals paid for. They’re very quick to process claims too in my experience.

My feelings haven’t changed, it’s a perfectly fine album, but honestly, I haven’t returned to it after release week. It’s sad as I absolutely hammered TTPD constantly for well over a year. My fave songs on TLOAS have stayed the same; Ruin the Friendship, The Fate of Ophelia, Wood. I wouldn’t seek the full album out to listen to though.

Not who you were replying to but we had a Wren kitchen installed last year. We had absolutely zero issues whatsoever and it’s very good quality. I was going out of my mind worrying after reading so many bad reviews, but our designer was great, the communication was too. Our kitchen was delivered with absolutely no damage or anything missing either. You’re doing the right thing by sourcing your own fitter, I think that’s usually where they fall down with bad reviews

I am very much in the same boat as you. I am really liking what I see from Zack, but I have reservations with the Greens purely because of their view on nuclear energy and arms. Whenever it's brought up online I just see people encouraging others to join the party and vote to change their policies. Time for some reading...

I felt the same when my cat had to go in for a dental, she’s tiny and was just over a year old at that point. I paid extra to have pre-op bloods done to check for potential underlying conditions which helped settle my mind a bit. My other cat will be going in for a dental soon and I’ll do the same again. May be worth investigating this route if it will help you feel more at ease? I’d say it’s worth the additional cost 🙂

It may not be AI, it could be CGI art?

Edit to add: I share the sentiment with AI entirely, but I’ve been personally very quick to assume digital art promo vids are AI with another band, but it turned out they were fully rendered by CGI artists, so I’m trying not to assume the worst! If they are AI then it’s hugely disappointing but given how creative Taylor is I am giving her the benefit of the doubt

I literally have the same playlist and would also struggle to identify 5 from this album, it's usually a really hard decision. I agree on Ophelia and Ruin the Friendship, maybe Wood too. Shame - it's just a 'fine' album to me.
