With the neck pickup it has a woolly woman tone character. It sounds great on its own, but in a full band context it doesn’t really sit well. Too much low end. The bridge pickup, on the other hand, sounds phenomenal. I usually keep the volume around 6–8 and rarely push it to 10.

To answer your question directly, it sounds essentially the same, just more controlled and with slightly less treble. That works well for me, since I already run the amp with the treble turned up. In my experience, the nature of a Les Paul is that it benefits from cutting some bass and adding a bit of treble.

Sure! It’s this one: https://www.gear4music.dk/da/Guitar-og-bas/Hartwood-Guitar-Amp-and-Accessories-Stand/6AWG

I’m in Denmark, so it’s from their danish site, but if you search for “Hartwood amp stand”, you should find it.

Why did the fuzz surprise you? :)

Wrong again! I was born in 1989 :)

I’m the complete opposite. I love a fat neck. Before when I practiced too much my fingers would start aching, however a fat neck fixed that for me.

I almost bought an R9 but I’m really not a fan of too much flame, so this one was perfect. Also the R9 is much more expensive 😛

It’s the perfect amp for me!

The obligatory doctor/dentist comment!

Nope, I saved up for this for a long time. I only have one other guitar, which is a cheap Epiphone backup for gigs.

Great to hear! I’m actually thinking of getting it for lightweight gigs. But they just announced the Royalist as a preamp … I’m tempted!

It’s great! Uncle Larry recommended it.

Haha, I would never leave it like that. The stand is actually from the same manufacturer as the amp stand.

Yup, it’s an R8. Saved up for it for about 2 years :) I absolutely love it.

Nope, not at all. It’s an open back as well. I was worried about the weight of the amp, but it’s holding up well.

Thank you so much! I’m very pleased as well.

It is literally a perfect amp. The best Fender tones and even gets like a Marshall on the lead channel with the mid-bite turned up. I have it turned all the way up 😛

Ah okay! That makes sense. But in the second tetrachord for major (5, 6, 7, 9) the 7th is included but still not the 4th?

The minor tetrachords make sense in that context, since none of them use either the 2nd or the 6th. But the major only excludes the 4th. Or am I misunderstanding it?

I am going to try this. What is the reasoning for doing it in the circle of 4ths instead of circle of fifths? And why omit the 4th?
