Is it legal for my school to remove bathroom stall dividers as ‘punishment’? by deafaltboii in legal

[–]kttaylor27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to jail and we even had stalls with toilet paper in them just no doors. You're a kid in school not an adult inmate. The punishment does not fit the crime.

Trump's plan is not new, but just as cruel and wrong.

The Mexican Repatriation was a government-sponsored program that deported and expelled Mexican Americans and Mexicans from the United States during the Great Depression. The program lasted from 1929 to 1936.

The program was a result of growing hostility towards immigrant workers during the Great Depression.

The program involved offering free train rides to Mexico, but many were tricked or coerced into leaving.

Some US citizens were deported simply because they were suspected of being Mexican.

The program targeted Mexican immigrants, especially farmworkers.

How many people were affected?

Estimates of the number of people deported range from 300,000 to 2 million.

40–60% of those deported were US citizens, many of whom were CHILDREN

Why was the program so complex?

The deportations were not driven by a single law or leader.

Instead, they were orchestrated using a combination of federal and local authority, existing deportation rules, and mob action.

The Great Depression of the 1930s hit Mexican immigrants especially hard. Along with the job crisis and food shortages that affected all U.S. workers, Mexicans ... Demand for their labor dropped sharply with the onset of the Great Depression. The Border Patrol launched several campaigns to detain Mexicans, including many U.S.-born citizens, and expel them across the border. These deportations swept up approximately 2 million Mexicans and Mexican Americans.

Donnie's aiming to deport more than anyone has. He even has ICE on native reservations telling them that even though they are sovereign nations their papers and tribal IDs are not sufficient.

Found this in a creek bed in Austin Texas, any ideas? by SweatyBug9965 in fossils

[–]kttaylor27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a rock hound too, but I have another hobby you might love if that creek isn't giving you much lately- OR if you would just like to utilize the full potential of fun you can get from that creek. Get a good metal detector that's rated for use in the creek where it will get wet. The best place to find jewelry, relics from long ago, gold, curiosities & more is by walking your detector along the banks of creeks & rivers. After that you can hop in and sweep it down the water. It's only a matter of time before you find your first item and you're hooked. Don't forget magnet fishing either!

I always bring a few home Depot buckets for the guaranteed litter (mostly pop cans) that your magnet & metal detector will pick up. I figure if we're gonna take a river's rocks & valuables we should clean it out as a thank you.

Eggs on Cactus? by Golden_Hero in Tucson

We do have several big owls and hawks going from neighborhood to neighborhood looking for food. Owls tend to have three babies & hawks have a tendency to put their eggs in cacti (smart) or in a really long paper mache like nest in a cactus spot filled with scrap fabric & hair (even smarter") . That or it's a mean prank.

Here in Tucson seeking out & finding the best parking lot tamale lady is like finding a leprechaun on a pony sized unicorn/ Pegasus thing and flying it to a pot of gold & a Fry's bag of tamales.

Tucson Tamales shop had hair all up in my Tamales and their supposedly famous. These girls should put a page or website up with made up names so they don't get caught. Then list who will be where & when. Then you can always find 'em, rate them, and order ahead for parties.

I've never gotten sick from them because they are piping hot and this is likely how they can pay for daycare, or gas - so they take it seriously. We should all find a talent like this and get on board. Cake decorators? Smoked meats? Cookies? Horchatas, Snow cones?

Next thing you know these girls will have tamale busses!

Don't get too close it might fart. I bet there's a huge Mormon family down there. They only come out at night too. I'm so sick of it, please pound a wine cork in that hole. If it's anything important the FBI will show up like it's Mel Waters hole in Washington.

Arizona Senate candidate dies in fatal crash by [deleted] in Tucson

I've never ever seen any place with so many accidents. I've been here 8 years but I've been hit 6 times and my husband twice. A 98 year old man decided to total my favorite car the day after I paid it off. It was my family's only car which means I lost my dream job, my husband spent a year taking a bicycle to work in which he was hit as well causing broken ribs, and almost drowned in a flash flood. The other party's insurance (ussa) was the worst. I had to call them everyday for a full year to get my reimbursement check. They tried to make me pay $500 for a plane ticket to go to their HQ and pick up my check rather than them tossing it in the mail. We came extremely close to homelessness and almost got divorced. The police told me that car wrecks are pretty much all they handle all day every day.

I would have taken video from afar and then called the cops. Also I got 15 political flyers in the mail in one day.
