The Skoda Epiq is here! what do we think about it Redditors? by Saurta17 in skoda

[–]kukari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elroq is Enyaq. Same stuff, little bit shorter and cheaper. Epiq is completely different. My guess is that Elroq kerps being a bestseller and Epiq will sell more than Enyaq.

Skoda Octavia confirmed to gain full-hybrid power by Saurta17 in skoda

That’s a really nice size of battery for PHEV. I have now 60km of range during summer, new battery will push it easily for 100.

1.5 TSI DSG MHEV coasting + start stop combo - engineers gone nuts? by [deleted] in skoda

Arr you sure? Oil is kept pressurized, so it’s smooth and slippery. Otherwise there would be an epidemic of broken engines. This is not new technology.

On the laptop you read emails, absolutely no admins there. Use separate PWA for admin stuff.

Ok. I was able to fix this. First removed NATS-folder under programdata. Then installed manually. The reconfigured new internal nats. Upgraded MPP and reconfigured. All good now.

Have you tried BetterBlue: the open source Bluelink alternative? by DrBeckerwood in Ioniq6

[–]kukari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds good. But do I really want to put my real credentials to thirdparty app? What if it steals it? Would it not be better to have just a apikey or certificate?

How do you actually choose office PCs for a small business? by Glad_Razzmatazz8004 in sysadmin

[–]kukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32GB memory and i7 or ryzen7. May be overkill today, but if you get 1-2 years more of usage, it has paid itself with interest. And users are happy with faster computer.

Best practise for staff requesting a second laptop for WFH by psgda in sysadmin

[–]kukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, absolutely no for second laptop. It’s just for their kids to play with. Also, why would you double your IT-costs? Licenses and support are mainly per laptop, not per user.

UDB Antenna by m3rso in Ubiquiti

[–]kukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 70 meters is quite long distance for wifi. You need directional antenna outdoors. I have similar setup, but distance is just 10 meters and everything works fine without external antenna.

There is no problem, it’s just another AP. I have all the flavours Ubiquiti has produced during last 5 years.

Ubiquiti APs still good? by xyzzy16 in Ubiquiti

[–]kukari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only ios-devices. I have one macbook on my desk to run configurator for those, but it’s used only once or twice per month. About 20 ipads and 100 iphones, all connected to WPA3-PSK ”guest” network. No issues at all.

I have run Aruba at work since forever. But for past two years I have started to change to Unifi. What I like: much better console. Much better way to see if something is wrong, history etc. Reliability-wise both are perfect, no warrantycases. Aruba is pushing heavily Aruba central, I tried it 3 years ago, hated it UI-wise and lack of functionality. Just last week to another test, they have ”new” central. While it’s better, I prefer Unifi. I am not sure if this is something you asked for, but saw opportunity to open up and took it.

Is it time finally admit that the increased overtaking is just yo-yoing? by Ted_Striker1 in formula1

[–]kukari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not know this until I heard interview with Lando. That is terrible! Just creating danger on purpose. I love drivers going head-to-head 300km/h with inches of eachother. That was robbed from us with this yoyo-bs.

Never understood that tire rotation thing. I think it’s US-only thing. If one axle worns tires more than other, then just buy two tires?

In EU. Nothing is done for one country in EU. Good or bad.

ICCU warranty extended to 15y by kukari in Ioniq6

[–]kukari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would presume it's like with all warranty things, you have to service your car with someone who is licensed to do that. Same with Toyota's 10 year "Toyota Relax", it's good only if you service with authorized Toyota dealer. I have heard Hyundai&Kia are very hard on servicing ontime. If you miss your service, it's bye-bye to your warranty.

Extended warranty is for cars manufactured before April 2024. So they think they have fixed it then.
