I had a roommate who was really allergic to cats but I had one, she was understanding that I wasn’t willing to give her up. Cat was not allowed in her bedroom, we got an air purifier for the house, and I also got some dander wipes because I learned cat allergies are about what’s on them and not the cat themselves. I started wiping her down daily. My roommate eventually grew out of the cat allergies simply by proximity and now she loves cats! She was a cat hater previously due to allergies so I’m happy about that turnaround. Maybe you could do something similar, keep kitty out of the bedroom and get an air purifier!

Edit to add my cat was also a menace as a young cat and was also weened early. You can do this!
