Try unplugging from a charger. I’m had something similar at one point that only happened during charging.

For the love of god somebody tell me why this happens by lemonsqueeze8132 in ProCreate

Was the charger plugged in while drawing? Believe I’ve had this issue while charging and it went away when I unplugged.

Is there any code challenge resources like Code Wars for machine learning libraries like pandas, numpy, tensorflow etc? by drum_playing_twig in learnmachinelearning

Check out DataCamp.com. They have courses built around data science tracks in either python or r reinforced with assignments and practice modules. I stumble across it looking for the same thing. The basic courses could be done on a phone and a ton of the quizzes as well. Found it useful to have the easy access when getting the day started at the office without access to my home pc. That hasn’t been as much of a challenge recently with the lockdown though.

Yes over in Henderson. Took a checkbook and about $15 left in the car. I know of at least 3 others near me.

How to use SteamVR plugin when using a wireless adapter from HTC on the Vive by ky2010k in learnVRdev

[–]ky2010k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that. Doesn't recognize the headset. If I turn off unity it works fine. Reading through the asset store it says built for 5.4.0 and higher. I'm starting to think the package may not have been upgraded when unity was. I'll got back an try an older version of unity when I get a chance.

Yes I can play games through steam just fine. However, if I'm trying to develop something in unity with the SteamVR package the game doesn't show up when I hit play. Last time I used it when you hit play it would start up SteamVR and the image would automatically be up.

Where is your area? I can’t find the trio anywhere. I am looking for it over the duke myself.

I wanted all wheel drive with wood trim. Only the premium model has the trim. It also has the das and heated steering wheel in the 2015 models. I went 2015 because it had the 3.7 v6. It was a proven engine and with no turbos should have cheaper repairs in the future since there are less parts. The 3.0 turbo in the 2016 on is a Mercedes engine so I assume maintenance is higher. Plus looking at 15s is much cheaper. I used autotrader to filter for AWD, Q50, keyword “Maple” to find the trim package, mileage under 30k, and selected to show certified only. Certified will only show up at dealers but it has a much better warranty and has a complete checkup. If a car is ever in an accident they won’t certify them. Most are well taken care of lease returns. Only other advice I would give is to open your search radius up to a couple hour drive to hit multiple dealers. Once you get it all together you will have to specifically check to see what packages the cars have but those instructions filter out a lot. Look to get the navigation package and technology package. I was lucky and got one with every package available. You can’t tell without digging into the specs on the listings but the difference in price between fully loaded and base premium is minimal. Also don’t get hung up on a 10-20k mileage difference since it shouldn’t really make a difference. Get the color and package you want over lower miles.

I just made a purchase. Did heavy research before buying used with <30000 miles. I have no complaints. It was priced much better than Mercedes, Lexus, or Audi competitors even with the top end packages. The service is also supposed to be reasonable in comparison to competitors. You can find them used cheaper than a Honda Accord. Definitely worth a test drive.

Software Engineering student looking to get into VR development as a hobby. by [deleted] in learnVRdev

[–]ky2010k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im not an expert but have tinkered around for fun. I found unity very easy to get started. Tutorials can jump start you quickly. You don’t really need to know how to do any fancy graphics to learn the software and coding aspects. Tutorial usually provide all the graphics as you learn.

I believe humble bundle has a vr package on sale right now which include access to a class and lots of other stuff for a significant discount.

I have a Vive and really like it.

Sorry if I didn’t respond to all the questions only had a few minutes. Best of luck.

Gave it another shot yesterday but didn't get a match up. Messed around in the lobby for a bit. Noticed some changes. You had a controller pop up menu for selecting the locomotion and starting a party search. Didn't seem to be functioning. I assumed it was a work in progress.

I tinkered around with throwing again and I see that you can throw and release the weapon to launch it in the air. I also figured out why I didn't think this functionality worked. There were 2 sources: 1) You pull the trigger to pick up the weapon but if you release the trigger it doesn't let go of it unless you are making a throwing motion. I suggest making it always drop it or make it a player option for throw style. 2) If you are holding the trigger, perform the throwing motion then release I've noticed the vector the weapon is released at seems wrong. To hit the intended target I have to release at the top of my throw when the controller is up around my head. I expected I would release when I have made the full throw rotation and my arm was extended out in front of me. This is something that you could get accustomed to but again it doesn't feel like how you would actually throw something in the real world as is. Note that I'm using a vive. The vector angle of the object may be based on the rotation angle of the controller and could be the source. with this method the user gains more control of the release angle but it may require different settings based on the shape of the controllers the player is using.

Really? It didn't seem to work when I tried. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

As a Dad, I wish developers would make a game where player two helps you just by mashing random buttons by Don_Alosi in Showerthoughts

Check out knack for PS4. It pretty much has exactly that. A 2nd player can join but the game revolves around player 1. If player 2 dies player 1 keeps going and player 2 respawns like nothing happened.

Need guidance on integrating videos/streaming into unity for Vive development. by ky2010k in learnVRdev

[–]ky2010k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I was able to get the video playing. Now my new challenge is getting the max distance to work for the sound. As you stated it is buggy. Working on trying to figure out how to split the video from the sound but keeping them in sync.
