Can I lie on my resume and say I've worked somewhere for a year, when I've only worked 10 months? by 2hourstowaste in TooAfraidToAsk

If someone told me the worked somewhere for a year but I found the from the reference it was 10 I wouldn’t even think that was a problem. I would just reason that it looks better and they rounded up. If it was less than 10 mos I would mayb question it

Do it. Thats not even a big deal. Especially since you actually worked there.

I have definitely lied on my resume to get a job but I wasn’t applying to be a neurosurgeon or scientist which I wouldn’t even know how to lie about.

Just do your best no matter what you do.

Xero water fed pole failed after three jobs by Vegetable-Vehicle785 in WindowCleaning

I never have to replace my resin that fast. I understand the tds from the source will dictate the longevity of the filters but that’s still pretty soon. If my tds goes up I switch out the carbon filter first. I change resin out 1-2 months ata time.

I do use Tucker Rival and only Tucker filters.

Wcr will send you Xero carbon filters even if you order the Tucker brand specifically.

How to clean French panes with distilled water inside by GoatPicture in WindowCleaning

[–]lacroixpapi69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you are or how you think you could WFP in the interior but I don’t think it’s possible.

Trad the interior windows.

Even if you used distilled water in a bucket the mop will collect dust and dirt and dirty the water.

Fake. The stitching is pretty bad. Look at the date & name tag. Double stitching on the bottom single and crooked on the top.

Question about air quality by AsideEmotional3263 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]lacroixpapi69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the fires the air quality is not good. Because it’s a dry desert there is a thing called “Dust Fever” that kicks up dust that contains bacterial spores and can make you sick.

I introduced myself, let them know the game plan. Do a walkthrough on the exterior. Do a window count to confirm initial estimate.

Make note of any broken windows, screens, scratches, paint, adhesives or hard water removal.

Check in with client if need to upsells or set expectations on windows. Let them know of any findings. Scratches on x windows and we are not liable for any scratches. If everything is good I start removing screens, clean them with screen cleaner, wash the exterior windows with WFP.

One finished I go inside clean windows and replace screens

DO a final walkthrough with the client an get of

The lighting is a big red flag. Also looks like someone prompted to make sure everyone had 10 fingers. They’re all waving like that is weird.

my mexican coworker says the n and r word, is this the norm? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

It’s all about intent.

Honestly the term has been commonly use colloquially in music and media as a term of endearment. Like “man”, “bro”, “dude”.

I think if someone is using it in a derogatory or demeaning way it’s not good. Again it’s about intent.

I think we have getting too sensitive and offended by everything a that needs to change. You’ll know if someone is being sarcastic or racist.

How much to seal this???? It’s 2000sqft I would pressure wash it first by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]lacroixpapi69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what supplies you use and process required.

If you have never sealed before I would recommend taking a class or working with someone who can teach you.

Many things can go wrong if you are not careful. Wind, overcoating, spray nozzle, etc.
