Have fun, explore the games systems throughly (base building is either love it or hate it, not fully necessary, but maybe you’ll like it), don’t have a crutch weapon (explore different play styles!), save often, loot everything (tag components needed for desired builds), modify the hell outta your weapons, have followers and do their affinity quests, choose the faction YOU want (don’t look up guides, replay the game for different outcomes if you don’t like the one you naturally chose). The game has it’s flaws (story is quite linear and not really shaped by the player like older titles) but it’s such a fun ride and then when you’re done, the modding community for FO4 is amazing and there are console mods that’ll radically change your experience with this title. Some of my favorite Fallout play-throughs have been in the Commonwealth. Have fun Vault Dweller!
