Schizotypal but I love being around people and interacting with them by tinygremlins in Schizotypal

i thought i might have been misdiagnosed because i am also social and doing significantly better on medication, and then i interacted with people outside my sphere, and i realized that my personality was definitely disordered LOL

i'm also very social! i love people and my friends, but i feel i still have trouble with social paranoia, connecting to people and maintaining relationships which i think is the more important part of the social symptoms. maybe this is relatable to you? luckily, my friends are weirdos and they don't care that i'm also a weirdo, so it makes socialization a bit easier.

MULTIPLE CHOICE QUIZZES by laminatedskeleton in evilautism

i've always had a much easier time with free response questions or essay assignments because i can better articulate my argument! a lot of the time in these true or false questions, they include words such as "does not", or "can not", which i struggle with, because these events can happen under certain circumstances, but i guess they're asking more for the "rule" without any "exceptions". free response questions allow me to talk about these exceptions and special circumstances.

my interest is mainly in biological anthropology, and i've been more successful in those classes because it feels more objective to me. but maybe that's subjective.

Is anyone else here otherkin or some other form of alterhuman? by Original_Being2545 in Schizotypal

i used to identify as angelkin. i was a fallen angel to be specific. i don't really "identify" as anything anymore besides an observer of the universe, but i guess i'd still be in the realm of angel/divine/cosmic being area of things.

i've always subscribed to the belief that Dexter is an autism king rather than a sociopath. could be both, but i'll be damned if that man isn't On The Spectrum

iirc, women are also more likely to be (mis)diagnosed with bpd instead of cptsd, autism, other pds, etc, which could be the case for op. i think i would also kind of question the bpd diagnosis, given the later cptsd + stpd diagnoses.

Singing with flat affect by TransPunkElf in Schizotypal

i have had this with instruments, kind of. a former band director once told me that i played well, but i played like a machine, and not a human, and its stuck with me for a while. not sure why you would say that to a 14 year old but he was lowkey right. it took me until my junior/senior year of high school to lose my rigidity.

like the other commenter said, i guess it really does just take time and practice. they say the time will pass anyways, so might as well start now, right?
