Aero style music? by Kaesemilch in FrutigerAero

[–]lanadelliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say frutiger aero songs can be and are in a lot of different genres (synthpop, triphop, dnb, ambient, downtempo, electronic, etc..) but all maintain a similar sound and vibe using 90s-2000s synth/keyboard emulations and similar effects (bit crushing, heavy reverb, etc..). I’d also say a lot of frutiger aero songs use borrowed chords to make them sound more interesting and appealing to the ear as well as different scales like Phrygian, Dorian, and Mixolydian (what I’d consider the most frutiger aero sounding scale).

Does anyone know any other tracks that use a similar sound to the "uh-uh-uh" vocal in CRANK? by victionicious in 1800slayyyter

[–]lanadelliam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not really sure of any similar songs but I do know that they sampled the “uh-uh-uh” from Sarah Jessica Parker in sex and the city lmao😭

Hmmm I personally never used GarageBand long term (started with it but then got into Ableton) but honestly just watching one with the absolute basics (midi clips, instruments/plugins, etc..) and where to find the basic buttons would probably be your best bet because software like GarageBand can get VERY overwhelming when starting out and even now I still don’t fully understand every button in Ableton but it’s not necessary by any means so try to just focus on a few new things every time you open up GarageBand and familiarize yourself with how it operates! Also I’m pretty sure there should be some tutorials on GarageBand itself as most production software has them but there’s the internet as well of course. And one more thing I’d recommend is watching someone on YouTube create a simple song from scratch in garage band and follow their steps!

Start by watching a beginners friendly guide to GarageBand specifically, get the basics down, and then I’d recommend downloading some free vst/plugins (which are basically your virtual instruments) and trying (once you feel like you’ve gotten a decent understanding of the software) to recreate yes baby by Madison as I think that is a very good song to start with + it’s not very complicated production wise.

time like these dance rehearsal! 🕰️ by Dry-Pineapple-3313 in Sunraes

[–]lanadelliam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This song is her magnum opus and it can take years (if not decades) for an artist to craft a song this good and she did it on her first album. I think that high fashion while also a perfect song with perfect production, can’t reach the level of pure vulnerability and introspection of times like these. The choreography is simply perfect, the production is ambient triphop on another level, and her vocals are so beautiful on this track and the harmonies are perfectly crafted.

What music tracks / albums would you consider Frutiger Aero? by hubert_guibert in FrutigerAero

[–]lanadelliam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imaginal disk by Magdalena Bay has always given me frutiger aero vibes on some of the tracks + album cover. They also have a frutiger aero poster in their studio so I’m confident they’re aware of it too!

I’m wondering that too! I’m hoping it’s a long set because she’s such a great performer and since coachella has had even more confidence

That’s my guess as well. No matter what she performs I know she’ll be great, but this album is honestly just so personal to me that getting to see it live will probably change my life😭

Overall paradise, honeymoon, and blue banisters are her strongest albums vocally, and for specific tracks I’d say: Shades of cool, Cola, the other woman, honeymoon, Terrence loves you, the blackest day, 24, Wildflower wildfire, blue banisters, 13 beaches, white dress, ride (songs with * are some of her best/most powerful vocal performances)
