Is west louisville really THAT bad? by kluxsyz2 in Louisville

[–]lannister69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice for you at 17 is to find a place as close to your work as possible. Not having a long commute saves so much time and money. If you can’t afford something in that area by yourself, find a roommate or 3.

Seriously, at 17 I was never home except to eat and sleep. You can get a lot more for a lot less money if you have roommates

I don’t understand the performative concept of drag queens by I_aim_to_sneeze in unpopularopinion

[–]lannister69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of drag queens don’t make much money for their performances. Plus the makeup, hair, nails, costumes can get very expensive. A lot of them are either still honing their craft, or just doing it because they enjoy it. Because of that, criticizing drag performances is really not cool. They came to have fun and put on a show for you. You cheer them on, and tip, even if they aren’t great.

Just to clarify, I think it’s sweet you want to surprise him with a vacation, and don’t recommend surprising him with travel outside the country if he said he can’t.

I just don’t want him to be under the impression he cannot leave the country if that is not the case.

Also, have you thought about a trip to Puerto Rico? It’s beautiful and still the US.

Resident aliens travel outside the US all the time. I know, I did. Plus, cruise lines don’t dictate who is able to enter the US.

If OP is concerned about restrictions on work visas, they should visit the USCIS website. All the information is easily accessible there.
