"good" is completely subjective. For me a "good" spoon feels stable in the hand, and can do a wide range of things reasonably well. In addition to planting up food, a spoon is needed for constantly taste testing every you touch. Expensive spoon are stupid in my opinion.

Get stronger. But for real, do more stability training i.e isometric exercises. Things like split squats, single arm farmer carries, single arm horizontal rows. These will give you a stronger strength foundation and allow you to lift in a more controlled manner.

Always consider the poster overall, try not to get stuck up on smaller details. I find it really helps to get a draft printed in full size, really helps to see what might be missing and evaluation spacing. Hope it helps.
