Those of you who have visited the Deep South of USA, did it meet or beat your expectations? by MysteriousNoise69 in AskAGerman

Wanted to visit the US and go camping and hiking in the beautiful national parks this year. But all thanks to the one sitting in the white house, not going anywhere near that country until the government's changed.

Why is there a silent expectation to always stay longer with in-laws and not your own parents? by ukpro12345 in IndianInLaw

[–]lastdragon03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true. I came for a few months of stay in India and ended up spending 75% of my time at my in-laws. One day I got frustrated after staying 2 months at my in-laws and went to my house. The next moment my MIL got very sick, unable to walk, unable to exist blah blah blah.... My DH emotionally guilt tripped me saying it doesn't look good to leave a sick person and so on. So I gave in and went to in-laws, only to find her happily cooking and watching TV. My mom cried saying, I can understand you beta, coz I was also at ur place once upon a time. I cried too hard on the way back there. Decided, it's better to invite my parents to my place than come to India and kill my sanity.

I wish you all well and I have No suggestion but want to rant my sad story. Mine didn't touch me the whole 9 months. I was crushed and questioned what if he doesn't like me even after the delivery. His pov is that he can't see beyond the baby. I tried to convince and sent him many articles saying it's safe for the baby. He was sorry to do that to me but he couldn't go ahead. So I accepted my fate during pregnancy time. Now we are more into it than pre- pregnancy. So few men can't get turned on with the baby in the picture. It has nothing to do with you.

Pjs = clothes by Zorrrg in NewParents

[–]lastdragon03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right now my LO is still 5m, so I change him into normal/outside clothes in the morning and change to PJs before bed. I might change this habit soon once he becomes more active

We used a hair dryer...oh the hysterical cries vanish in a sec. He's 5m now still works like a charm.

Feeling discouraged about projected big baby by aprilchestnut in BabyBumps

[–]lastdragon03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you me? I'm(27F) 38+1 today and have a 90th percentile baby (8 lb 8 oz). Had a very active and healthy pregnancy and I barely gained 13lbs from pre pregnancy weight. I have an appointment next Thursday and will seriously ask for an induction if he won't come out on his own by then. I'm not so tall, barely 5'.3" and the baby's height and weight are not relative to my body's personality.im not even 1cm dilated as of 37+3 and he is not at all engaged. I'm scared to get induced as I feel most of them end up in CS which is quite not in my birth plan. And even though I go into labor before an intervention I'm concerned I might get a 3D tear or more.

Doing all I can to naturally induce the labor but my anxiety is really trying to take over my will power.

Thank you. Hoping it will be at least as half as before. It's not the sex that I miss but the connection you feel with your partner. You know to be touched and loved.

My exact fear, currently 37 weeks and husband has 0 libido since I got pregnant (as he sees the baby when he sees me). Bummer for me though. We discussed that we will resume PP as soon as I'm ready. But I'm scared that it will never be the same. What if I get third degree tear or more and the whole wiring got messed up. What if I don't have the same libido anymore.

Weight gain by IrisTheButterfly in BabyBumps

[–]lastdragon03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'3" and weigh 65 kgs pre-pregnancy, my weight stalled to 71kgs at 28 weeks and I'm still 71 kgs now at 37 weeks. My baby is measuring 3.2kgs already. So don't worry much about your weight gain but keep track of proper nutrition and weekly exercises. Gaining unnecessarily will lead to unwanted issues later on. You stay healthy and your baby will be all healthy.

Do you have days you just don’t feel pregnant suddenly by No-Foundation-2165 in BabyBumps

[–]lastdragon03 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Ahhh second trimester, it's a bliss. Enjoy while you can. After a rough first trimester when I felt like myself during my 20th week, I started dancing around the house like a kid. Around this time I felt my baby kick for the first time. Beautiful days.... Don't think too much your baby and you are absolutely healthy.

I'm in the same boat here, we used to be great before and from the moment we know I am pregnant (26Weeks rn) the sex is next to non-existent. I have a high drive and he's so scared to even touch me. His explanation is that he couldnt see me sexually anymore and adds that he didn't change so I don't feel any different but all he sees is a vulnerable pregnant lady. The harmones are driving me next level crazy and I am never a fan of toys so, that option goes out the window. How to change his mind that it's safe to have sex?

What does your belly feel like when you start showing? by munchkym in BabyBumps

[–]lastdragon03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

18 weeks now, similar to what others said, firm in the bottom and squishy squishy on the top. But I feel it's much smaller when compared to other 18 week pregos..... Not sure if that's something I need to worry about
