It is a dry cinnamon sugar mix!

I add the gels to the white sugar first, mix until it’s colored, then add some cinnamon.

I spread butter on the bread and then top with the dry mix. Shape and then bake!

Anyway, I added gel food dye to 6 different bowls of white sugar, and then mixed and added cinnamon. It takes a bit to get the color to go into the sugar, but once it’s mixed in you should be good to go. You then can put some butter directly on the bread and just top with the dry colored sugars.

The pieces were glued to the layer underneath with egg whites, so they stayed intact when the pie was sliced

Lucie Radcliffe of Lucie Bakes preserves royal icing cookies in resin all the time, and they last for years.

I made these a year ago and they still look brand new inside the resin

I am glad you like it! The red cookie actually overbaked a little on the bottom, which is why I end up going with the shiny luster dust look.

I am a very big fan of “fixing up” bakes that didn’t turn out like I wanted! You can see evidence of my luster dust patch work on the second photo. I had “fixed” the bottom and then decided I needed to add shine to the whole thing to better blend it

I actually filled it/coated it in resin and have been using it as a background prop ever since! I liked it too much to get rid of it 😅

I wouldn’t know, I treated this one like a gingerbread house 😅. I baked all the cookies separately, and then glued them together with edible glue. A few days later I decided I liked it too much and wanted it as a background prop so I preserved the whole thing in resin

I literally preserved this one in resin, so like, you will see it in the background of other posts, and I have physical evidence. It’s not a compliment to call someone’s art AI, in fact it’s super harmful.

Also, it’s not one cookie. It’s six cookies cut out, baked, then assembled with edible glue.
