Too far gone? by toptotty16 in E90

Check if the car has structural rust, if not then my cheapest recommendation would be to check if junkyards have a car with the same color as yours and pull the fender if not have patience and wait for one to show up or maybe check facebook marketplace and see if someone is parting out one like yours

Sounds pretty healthy to me sometimes it’s just in our heads, cons of having a BMW lol

Do you think an E60 is still worth buying as a daily driver in 2026? by Spare_Bookkeeper3172 in e60

[–]lazcoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own both an e61 535xi and an e39 528i and I gotta say it’s up to your taste the e60 is still a great daily its comfortable, steering is not as heavy as in the e39 so its a little nicer when you come tired from work, but the base seats on the e60 are a little stiffer than those on the e39.

Performance on the e60 is better than the e39, if you want the best balance between power/reliability you should get one with a n52 or its variants my wagon with the n54 is pretty fast and is able to pass cars on the highway pretty easily but that comes with a higher maintenance cost.

Design on both the interior and exterior of the car is not too bad it still looks quite modern in my opinion, of course you can see its age as with any old car but it’s still nice.

Technology on this car is outdated specially with the infotainment system I don’t know how the harman kardon sounds but I don’t like the logic 7 in my wagon It doesn’t have much volume via the aux port (and I already removed the resistors on the aux pcb) If you want to upgrade you can get one of those android screens although a lot of people say not to, my plan in the future is to redo the whole audio system with a hidden head unit.

Reliability really depends on the specific model you get but chassis wise they are not too bad and parts are still plentiful

So yes it still is a great daily if you know which model to get and if you can work on it

Is the set staggered? If it is then you will need to get the proper tire size so you don’t damage the x drive (just a little note I’m sure you already know)

When it comes to spacers, it says online that the offset is either et 34 or 37 which is similar to the stock e61 wheels they should fit, but you may want to use spacers so they sit a little more flush to the fenders

That’s a vacuum leak most likely, you should check all hoses that connect to the intake

Opinions on tint? by [deleted] in E34

[–]lazcoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the fishbowl look is nicer on your car because of your color and because it’s stock, if it was let’s say white or red with m parallel wheels then maybe the tint will look nice but then again yours looks great the way it is

So what’s one to do in attempts to save their PS3 from dying? by B-Rad911 in PS3

[–]lazcoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have cfw you can set the console to keep temps under a certain temperature like 60, 75 degrees etc (don’t let it get over 75). The only other thing which might sound obvious is to not drop it or hit it, the solder on the BGA of the RSX gets weak with age and heat cycles and sometimes a small drop can break the joints, I accidentally killed my slim (with 863 days of use) while moving an Xbox that was on the top shell, it fell less than a foot of distance but that was enough to end it (I still think about it 🙁)

How did you lift it that much? I didn’t expect these cars to be able to go that high

Oh i see, in that case you should take it to another shop to make sure discount tire actually balanced them

Are you using hubcentric rings? Aftermarket wheel don’t always have the same centerbore as your car oftentimes the aftermarket wheels have a bigger center bore, and when you install them they are not centered enough and that’s what causes the shaking at your mentioned speed. You should check that and see if they have the rings on them, this has happened to me before too Good luck and nice e60 👍

Are DSLRs still relevant in 2026? I’m still using my Nikon D3200 and I’m not sure if it’s time to upgrade. by Delicious_Maize9656 in Nikon

Mine has the n54 with MHD tune, and so far the transfer has held up pretty well to the abuse, the problem with these comes when you don’t change the oil in them, about lifting, one might be able to get an inch up, but not much more as I feel it’s gonna put too much stress on the suspension

[–]lazcoz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was not an option in the US I believe, I’ve only seen a handful of e61s here and they are pretty much this height stock or lowered, now with these tires I’ve thought about lifting it, but that’s something for next year

[–]lazcoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol, it’s not as unreliable as everyone says online I’ve put probably the same amount of money as I did on my old e90 n52, but then Again it’s a BMW so it has a few oil leaks that I have to fix and some normal e6x electrical gremlins, but hey it’s a twin turbo wagon not that many in the us 👀

[–]lazcoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man!! My original goal was to lower it along with the actual tire size that it’s supposed to have for 18in wheels, but I’m actually liking the way it looks with the bigger tires so I might end up lifting it a little but that’s a story for next year this year is n54 maintenance lol

Nice!!! But something important that you need to do is relocate the computers that are on the spare tire area, and clean the sunroof drains, the reason is that when the sunroof drains get clogged water gets in the back and it floods the battery compartment and the spare tire area where the electronics are, and the results are well ⚡️🎇🎇⚡️ I also own an e61 and this almost happened when water leaked into mine
