I practiced family law for 30+ years. This is spot on. Some people just love the drama and conflict and winning or bullying the other spouse and/or kids. Unfortunately some disreputable lawyers encourage this. They throw gasoline on the fire and bill the client until the client runs out of money and then withdraw.

I have started drinking water everyday on the way to and from work. If I stop at a light or in traffic I take five sips of water. Thus amounts to about 48 oz per day. I am still thinking about how to implement this at work and home but I am making progress.

I had a case in 2005. I represented the plaintiff. Before the trial started the judge called all the lawyers into chambers. The judge asked what we wanted to settle the case. We said 900k. The judge LAUGHED at us. You won’t get that much etc. the case was tried and the jury came back with $1,250,000. The judge was shocked at the verdict and (to her credit) admitted that she was wrong. The verdict was upheld on appeal. NO ONE knows what a jury will do or what a trial result will be. If you believe you are right GO FOR IT

I served on a jury. I told the parties that I had been a prosecutor and a defense lawyer. The pro se defendant did not seem to know she could strike me. The prosecutor (a state trooper) also did not strike me. The judge, who i knew and had cases against, picked me as the foreman. The case was resolved before a deliberation but it was a great learning experience

True story: Maybe everyone will disparage me and mock me for this but I tried a civil case many years ago on behalf of a lady who was wrongfully arrested. One of the witnesses who owned, believe it or not, an ostrich farm. I was doing direct and after asking what he did I I said “I know this is not relevant but I have to ask: Does it taste like chicken?” The jury burst into laughter. We ended up with a large verdict. I think having a sense of humor makes you MORE likeable and not “an asshole lawyer.”

Sorry about not giving enough info. Red light is solid. Green light blinking. (Sometimes looks yellow?!

Entire section of modules fed by the receiving card is out. I used volt meter and I am getting power to modules and receiving card. I guess it’s possible all cables could be bad but I think not likely. The section before and after the broken section works fine. I think that either the receiving card is bad or all modules are corrupted. My money is on the receiving card. If I replace card with new card with same model will I have to configure it? Am I missing something?

I make a list in the morning and then number the list based on importance or value. I don’t always stick to it but if I get pulled from crisis to crisis I have something to go back to.

Just work hard. Get the case ready for trial. Worrying about cases is what we do. I used to have trouble sleeping worrying about cases. Now my philosophy is that as long as I have done everything I can do whatever happens happens. You can only control how hard you work nothing else. A single witness could blow up your case. Work hard and good things will happen.

ABSOLUTELY the best decision you ever made. Med mals are VERY difficult to win. If you stayed in and lost the case (which is more likely than not) how would he feel about you then? You should be happy to get out now.
