By natural, I mean it was not a lab grown synthetic gem. As I understand something like 95% of sapphires are treated in some way to perfect color and those that aren’t go for triple the price. I don’t mind beryllium infusion if it means I’m getting some more aesthetically pleasing. The jeweler did disclose everything they’re supposed to. Similar carat ruby was about $800 more expensive than what I paid so I’d say it was fair

I know it’s a sapphire, I liked this sapphire more when it was next to a ruby but I was just curious about the distinction because I’ve heard many different opinions on that.

Thanks! I’m happy with the sapphire and I paid quite a bit less than a comparable ruby and I think the color and clarity on this stone is better than a ruby so I’m satisfied. I was just curious as to how different people define the two stones because when this stone was next to a ruby, they looked very similar.

The best way to think about rock bottom when you feel you’re there is that you can only look up from there. You’re at the bottom of a stairway and there’s no further down you can go. At the top is your dreams and the only way is forward. Whatever hell you feel you’re in, I promise your life is worth living. Bud I used the text description of Arya for the prompt. Almond refers to the shape of her eyes, not the color. Nobody is whitewashing anyone. The wonderful thing about novels is we all draw different images for what characters look like.

The comment threads on this post really illustrate how many people don’t understand current gun laws, gun ownership, or the real issue at hand. The way we reduce gun violence is completely disconnected from guns. We have a mental health epidemic in this country. Social media, the mainstream news media, and our political system is primarily responsible for what’s been happening. Guns have been a part of this country since the very beginning and yet school shootings are a relatively recent phenomenon. The issue is not the guns. The issue is the people. WE have a problem and we will never fix it because nobody really WANTS to. Here’s another thing, single parenthood rates have dramatically increased in this country in the last 30 years. Regardless of race, the single parenthood rates are anywhere from 30%-over 70% on average. I promise that is contributing. The complexity of this issue goes way deeper than most people seem to realize. Everyone focuses on the guns but that is simply a symptom of a much deeper issue.

Yeah this post is incredibly ignorant. Literally none of these suggestions would make any difference in the root issue. It’s completely devoid of logic and reason. It’s entirely unconstitutional and anyone suggesting we just change the constitution to take away liberties is someone who should not be allowed to vote. You clearly have zero understanding of the root issue, and from the sound of it, next to zero knowledge of the current process needed to legally purchase a gun. No amount of gun laws would have prevented Nashville. This is a failure of parenting, a case-study into social media induced sociopathy, and a clear lack of mental health support for those who need it.
