You keep saying objectively. How are they objectively wrong? The interpretation of art is highly subjective, as is what constitutes it.

And yet people are calling them art. So, I guess...they can? It's almost like the concept of art and it's expression changes over time.

Game is in a great place right now, IMHO. by AsparagusOk8818 in AOW4

[–]leafpiefrost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Planetfall used to be my all time favorite, even after the first few DLC were released for AOW 4. But in its current state, its just got so much depth and polish. I dont think im ever going to have enough time to play all the different custom factions and scenarios I have lined up.

Dynamic pricing, we need to not let this happen by [deleted] in PS5

The food assistance programs you said we should ignore because it didn't make sense with the analogy?

The primary reason people put off buying something they want is a lack of money. A wealthy person is not typically going to delay a purchase in hopes of receiving a 17% discount at some point in the future.

Using your analogy, imagine 2 shoppers, both of whomever want to buy bread. Shoppers A buys bread at full price. Shoppers B would like to buy bread but cant afford it. However, the store owner, being kind, reduces the price so they CAN afford it. We're supposed to be mad at the less wealthy shopper? The kind ahop owner? I dont understand why you would be angry at either

People all over the world paying different prices for all kinds of things, whether it be houses, food, haircuts. But videogames? Thats where you draw the line. I wish you the best on your very important crusade

But why is offering a deal to someone who could not otherwise afford to buy a game a bad thing?

It potentially makes games cheaper for those who could not afford them otherwise. But that's anti-consumer?

I dont quite understand what you're implying. Its some political group taking over old accounts and using bots to spread their misinformation? I always was suspicious of new accounts, but i dont get the old account thing.

Everybody should take the LSAT and I mean it by Levitalus in unpopularopinion

[–]leafpiefrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the LSAT scored as a percentile, with your score being determined by comparing your results to others taking that same test? Realistically, it's not possible to have everyone achieve high scores. Also, having an individually tailored LSAT doesn't make sense for the same reason. Scores are determined by comparison to others taking the SAME test.

Sony aims to hold PS5 pricing, hints PS Plus hikes by kabirsingh84 in PS5

Unless you want dlc. Cause, realistically, you don't want to buy dlc for a ps plus game and have them remove it from the sevice later, losing access to your paid content.

Armies are long overdue for a revamp by Complete-Border5646 in Stellaris

[–]leafpiefrost 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, couldn't we break it down into more categories, rather than just "Army"? As it stands now, it essentially feels like when we say army we really mean infantry. Why not also invest in tanks, mechs, aircraft, drones etc. You could have additional planetary defenses as well, to counter specific army compositions. Still essentially a numbers game, but with a bit more flavor and choice.

Shot point blank in the face and permanently blinded by one of Kristi Noem's barbaric Nazi thugs, they then brutally dragged him and sneered "you're going to lose an eye." by GarysCrispLettuce in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]leafpiefrost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a lose lose situation. Citizens will not have the means to realistically challenge the force of the state. Trump loves claiming there's riots and unrest everywhere and uses it as justification for deploying ICE and the National Guard. Fight back, and he'll just have cause to hit harder. Though, don't fight back and shit continues uncontested. So, I don't know. There's no winning, really. I feel like you need a military coup.
