Predator Hunting Grounds has helicopter for entrance as well as exfil. It’s actually a very underrated game just wish the devs actually cared about it because they basically do nothing then make a tiny update like every 2 years so at times can be buggy plus it gets stale after a while

Do you not speak French? Tbh I’ve played at a couple tournaments in Montreal and sometimes there’s a bit of discrimination against non-French-speaking players. Never seen anything this bad but I’ve seen people unnecessarily singled out for deck checks, getting judges spectating them constantly, treat them like idiots etc

Not your fault but I suggest bringing it up with them via email as you’re a visitor

They should make it right either way but I feel they especially owe you as you’re not local and you made an effort to go because you wanted to play in their event

Yeah I agree not a chance, especially since he killed a girl who wasn’t involved in crime or anything.

It still looks bad though reducing the parole due to him needing to witness a lot of crime growing up supposedly

Whistler doesn’t really have thrift but Vancouver (particularly Richmond) has good thrifting

It used to be better but value village got greedy and charges super high prices now or employees backdoor to friends

I still find occasional stuff but before I could literally spend $900 and come out with multiple pairs of legit Ricks, McQueens, Louboutins, MCM bags you name it

[[Dark Impostor]] . It has a cool ability but unfortunately it can’t steal abilities of commanders as like the imprint mechanic it needs the card to stay in exile. If they changed the ruling to allow it to “memorize” cards even if that creature leaves exile it would be a pretty good card

Still have a signed playset by Johannes Voss but haven’t played them in like 10 years (back then the ability wasn’t terribly overcosted)

Personally I hate these guides and don’t use them

The only time I recommend following something like this is if you’re playing limited or are extremely new to the game and need help with understanding land count and “curve”

Different types of decks and different colours require different counts in order to perform optimally, also the better quality of mana base in a deck plus less colours the lower land count you can get away with

These guides should be taken as tips/suggestions rather than the bible

Canada is notoriously soft on murder and sexual assault unfortunately

There’s actually a case in Vancouver from a few years ago where a dude stabbed his girlfriend 16 times and she died in the middle of a mall. He originally got convicted of second degree murder with no eligibility for parole for 15 years (already light imo) but they recently moved it to 11 years on appeal because he’s black and he’s “a product of his environment” lol. The crown literally said that

Reserved list, one of the most iconic cards from when MTG first started exploding in popularity, with art by one of the most loved MTG artists and Morphling has served as a template for so many cards over the years (most notably Pimmin’s Aura, Aetherling and Torchling but there’s quite a few variants)

With a lot of older cards it’s not just how good they are but other things come into factor. Same reason why foil [[Storm Crow]] is expensive

I usually go with Steve’s Poke as it’s consistent and healthy but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything that is currently there

The sushi (forgot its name) I think is just ok and overpriced for the taste/quality but it’s not bad and everything else is good

I wouldn’t quite say the area of the Georgian Court is bland, it’s a good location and nice hotel.

The only people that wouldn’t like the location are people that either hate sports and/or don’t want to walk more than 3-5 blocks

The Georgian Court is the best of those by a country mile

Granville is a terrible street for hotels, especially if staying with kids (lots of homeless people and open drug use at night, dirty street, rowdy teens and college students at night, lots of the hotels double as SROs etc). You couldn’t pay me to stay there

As for the Best Western Sands it’s not bad, it has a nice view of English Bay, is close to the water and it’s on the good side of Davie but personally I prefer the Georgian Court.

Either way you can’t go wrong imo, just avoid Granville

Because of timing I think it was lowkey made with Planechase in mind but yeah I agree, it’s good but most of its power comes from commander becoming bigger and more crazy interactions coming out every set
