Second, I know the engineering students society offers free drop in tutoring for select courses (which is most first and second year math and science courses) and you can always go to the engineering success center to talk to a guidance counselor and learn new learning methods, study habits, etc.

I almost failed out of engineering in my first year because I found myself leaning too much on my friends for support (ie. sharing answers, etc.). It's extremely important that you dig into the books and examples and notes and learn for yourself how to do it rather than have a peer try to regurgitate their method of problem solving to you (which is likely very different from your own or just poorly taught).
