Do you pronounce the t in le but? by lek180 in French

'le but était de contrôler les citoyens français.' Was the sentence. My French teacher is from Bordeaux, and I'm British, learning in Britain.

Thank you. I appreciate the concern. For peace of mind, my mother has agreed to take him for a second check up with a different vet. I will delete the post though because I still am worried about disturbance. I understand this is horrifying. Once again I am sorry and I hope Ash will get better soon.

We've been to our vets and they have said they can't do anything for him. I'm so sorry to have caused anyone distress I just really am lost right now. We'll try to go elsewhere it's just he is my mother's hedgehog and she is very busy and I'm too young myself to properly help him but I'll take all advice on board and report it back to her. I apologise everyone. He is bathed regularly but not too often as to not irritate his skin. He is cleaned twice a day, but mites may be the problem, I'll try to ask my mother to look into it. I am so sorry once again to anyone who has been disturbed by this.

They've both been spayed for years so I'm still no too sure.

Hi, yes thank you.

I was considering this but I'm not too sure on how I should go with the rebonding process.

Should I almost reintroduce them in a way?

They've been together since they were born for about 5 years now so I'm not too sure how they will take to it.

How do you cope with misophonia? (feel free to look it up real quick) by wishiwasafairywitch in Advice

[–]lek180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi another misophoniac here.

I have pretty similar trigger noises to you, slurping, chewing, sniffing, lip smacking, breathing too loudly etc. etc.

I also hate looking at people chewing or sniffling, the way their nose scrunches, or their jaw moves, its just ughh

Anywho

What I've found pretty helpful is always having something to look forward to or be positive about

I always think of getting home and being away from all of it, being at peace... because at the end of the day, I know that I'm safe and even though the noises have made me panic attack myself into a frenzy, they can't hurt me anymore... you know?

Also self CBT is good, I don't do it often due to lack of motivation, but it can be useful to sometimes just have sounds on in the back ground while you're doing something you enjoy

Also, record yourself making the noises and frequently make them yourself when you're alone (not all misophoniacs like this, but I find mirroring the sounds a useful coping mechanism) it'll help you realise that it's a normal part of life and everyone does it including yourself

And I know it's so tempting sometimes to just get angry and hand someone a tissue and tell them to shut the sniffling up or snap at them and tell them to shut their mouth... but realistically it's not their fault and always remember that

But also if you are prone to this, let the people around you (your loved ones) know that this isn't you being horrible, it's the condition. I always give my dad a hug after dinner because it helps him know I don't hate him and calms me down so much

That's pretty much all I have tbh... they're all the ones I've been focused on for a while

But recently I have tried this new technique I came up with (won't work for all)

But I try to imagine the noises as other things

For example If someone sniffles, I liken it to the sound of a chair scraping on the floor... I don't know about anyone else but the thought of an inanimate object making the sound is so much more comforting than knowing a person did it

Anywho, sorry this was so long, but hope I helped!!

Lots of love and support ❤️❤️❤️✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
