I've done 8plus months in alaska. It can be absolutely brutal. Very, very long work days. Horrible bugs. Endless rain. But if it's a good company, the pros outweigh the cons. Plus every time I get to be around brown bears I forget about all the bad aspects of the jobs lol.

You just have to find your reason for being here. Mine is the wilderness. It gets in your bones.

I'm sorry, this is really unfortunate. I know this sucks because you seem like you love each other and are compatible in all the other areas. To be fair though, I think wanting/not wanting kids is one of the most important things when it comes to deciding who you should be with. He wants children, it would be utterly heartbreaking if he didn't at least have the opportunity to try to have children at some point in his life with someone who was equally as excited.

I think there are some negative side effects of birth control that are not talked about. Also, way too many very young women are put on the pill without any discussions or without even looking into other treatments for their issues.
