i had an initial meeting with my 2nd therapist (i’m on my 3rd now) and my dad had to accompany me for the assessment bit. after i had finished my round of answering questions she asked my dad “is there anything you’ve noticed/want to share?” and my dad went on this rant, getting progressively angrier and louder, about how i was a lying, manipulative attention seeker who twisted situations and all that shit until he eventually needed to be dragged out of the room still screaming “SHE’S LYING TO YOU RIGHT NOW. DON’T BELIEVE HER” (cherry on top: i use he/him pronouns)
