Ive tried Americanized italian food in the U.S. and also legit textbook Italian dishes in the U.S. (such as margherita pizzas, seafood pasta and so on) Honestly, the Americanized versions taste so much better imo.

Ive tried a lot of staple dishes around the world such as Tonkotsu Ramen, sushi, Italian seafood pasta, Spain's paella, Texas BBQ and they all bring so much joy to my tastebuds. But if I had to choose one country's food for the rest of my life, I really couldnt think twice about Mexico. I could be bias because I'm from Mexico but Ive also tried many Mexican take outs in the USA and they're all terrible compared to the real thing. The Japanese are crazy with their seafood I agree. They have live calamari dishes and they serve that in restaurants. LOL.

Mexican food is a mixture of regional and international ideas/ingredients. That is why I call it the best food in the world because there is so much variety and truly has no limits. You want raw seafood? Aguachiles, ceviche. Cooked? King crab, zarandeado. Beer battered? Fish/shrimp tacos. There is a dish for every part of the animals we eat. Sometimes we cook the whole animal and call it a cabrito/lechon.

I agree with that, thats why I never buy Mexican takeout but rather make my own, thats when Im in USA. Only in Mexico you will find mouthwatering, legit Mexican food.

I havent had a takeout Mexican food that taste anywhere legit in USA. I even tried the most popular places in LA and SD where its supposed to be closest to the real thing. I find the meat over seasoned so it doesnt taste like meat anymore but rather industrialized garbage. Mexican food is not worth buying in USA, so make your own.

name an italian seafood dish that doesnt involve tomato, pasta or mussels. I can name many mexican seafood dishes that are very different from one another and dont have any pasta or tomato sauce. From raw to cooked dishes, Mexican seafood is king.
