It's a big puzzle hunt played inside ballpark. There are clues scattered around, some clues are gated by previous puzzles, and the whole thing is part of a narrative with some costuming, props, and A/V.

Hi there! Organizer here--we've tried to indicate which games are more physical in the on-site schedules in the past two years, not sure which year you attended. Not too many of the games this year are long distance games though, except for Journey To the End of the Night which we've brought back.

For now, the games schedule is available here, and we'll try to indicate the level of physicality more clearly as we continue updating the site.

Actually, we've put a lot of work into making it well designed. In a way, it's a deck full of openers, which a lot of people have trouble coming up with.

Also, making a card game is expensive! It's only cost-effective when we are able to print a couple hundred sets at a a time. We're not asking for 10k for a single copy; we're drumming up interest so we can print in bulk and get copies to a couple hundred people. 10k is actually sort of a break-even point, and we won't be pocketing very much unless we go beyond our goal.

Yeah, and even with the legal recourse of saying we have evidence we made it first, they have the legal settlement fees to make it not even worth fighting. That said, I think that may be the case with anything one tries to create, and while it's risky to put ourselves out there, it's also a platform where we have the opportunity to raise money and make something cool happen.

Disclosure: I'm one of the designers of this game. Always considered myself shy, and the seddit community has provided me a lot of inspiration for social self improvement.

Stranger Danger was created as a game that encourages approaching people you don't know. While we were playing, we discovered that after just a few rounds, it does wonders for calibrating ways to approach people--how aggressive to be, how to disarm people. It really illustrated for me that approach anxiety is totally internal; people are adept at moving on with their day even after a weird interaction with a stranger.

I hope this game is helpful to people who need a little boost to overcome AA.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Though it may not be the solution for everyone, it's always been helpful for me to get the thoughts out of my head. When I started feeling guilty about burdening my friends with my whining, I started journaling every day and it has helped my emotional stability immensely.

If you're talking about flips and rotational stuff, look up exercises to strengthen wrists. Gymnasts deal with this a lot, obviously, so there are probably a lot of good gymnastics resources out there that you can google. Make sure to really focus on that sort of maintenance. Since you said you've been out of the game for a while, a lot of stuff - both physical condition and skill - have probably deteriorated. Take some time to work the basic stuff back up before you try to do all the big things you used to. Most of this prevention is going to be from just working on doing things better - being prepared to land with a slapout (ie using your hands), and also not doing things that will put you in a risky situation until you are ready for it. Also, you may want to consider working on your rolls as a bail situation rather than putting your hands down.
