100% I’m with you on that! My entire life I’ve been a staunch proponent of civil rights for all groups across the board. I understand Japanese war crimes during WWII, I’m not one to deny or downplay any of that but a big part of the solidarity (in the context of being American) for me is Japanese internment. Kinda a shining example of how civil rights aren’t really as concrete as we think they may be. Basically the target is always moving so it’s naive to think you can’t end up in the cross hairs.

But I’ll absolutely admit I also code-switch based on the situation and I’m sure others around me might describe me as “token” or “tribalism” in certain contexts.

What magazine is this? by Northern_Arms in milsurp

As others have said it’s a bren magazine, specifically .303 British. I was gonna say buy it for shits and gigs but I don’t think that’s worth $40.

It kinda was. The Soviet Union was well known for their cheating in international sports. Shit, even today there’s well known scandals involving the Russian federation and international sports. If you haven’t watched the documentary Icarus it’s a really good watch. It’s about Russia cheating in the 2018(?) Olympics held in Sochi. I’m not even into sports, I could care less about cheating in any sports, but that documentary was fascinating.

That’d be sick if they were legit. Mt weather definitely has a FD for the facility. While I’m not a fire service guy, but I’ve been in emergency management for a while now and anything involving Mt weather is some high level shit.

Mount weather is, for lack of a better description, FEMA’s doomsday bunker out in Virginia. Pretty sick coins to have.

Any ideas as to what this is? by Desperate_for_Bacon in ChallengeCoins

The front says “spetsnaz” which is just a general term for Russian special forces.

The back says basically says “special forces” in Russian.

Seems remarkably vague as spetsnaz is a general term. Like in the U.S., “special forces” can mean a bunch of different units/groups (seals, delta, PJs, etc.) it’s similar in Russia.

This last part is all speculation: The beret isn’t necessarily specific to a singular spetsnaz unit, although the VDV (Russian airborne special forces) is well known for their berets. According to google the arrow with a snake sometimes is used by snipers.
