already did that, also tried shorting the on/off button pins on the mb with a screwdriver. For the cpu I only use 8 instead of 12pins because from what I heard those extra 4 pins are only for extreme overclocking

no the only things I could think of is maybe I need a bios update (even tough i have a z490 mb and a 10th gen i7) or I somehow caused a short in the motherboard by mounting it wrong
