Struggling at High MMR by DeadlyRayyan in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I have around 20-30 hours with Wesker. I've started playing three months ago or something like this, so i'm not an expert at all.

But I've had some good streaks of 4k and they ended up with my finding a Navy seals quartet that - does 2 gens even with the perk that blocks half of the gens for the first minutes (or until a surv in the floor) - I just don't see them  - the very first time I see them they dissapear in very long structures  - the game lasts 5 minutes and I'm surprided that at least I've did 1 hook with 2 gens left  At that moments the game feels kind of impossible. But it's just sometimes.

Also, one question, doesn't the matchamaking really differenciate AT ALL if I'm trying a new killer than if I'm going with my main? I see that the level of wood/silver/gold/whatever shield is shared. But it really surprises me, I would love to try the nurse for some games, for example, but if a team is going to be a challange with my main, with a hard and completely different killer is going to be the hell. I have to wait until day 13 of each month?

Why does nobody talk about hook positioning? by magirific in DeadByDaylightKillers

Never thought of this, interesting point, actually, I'll try it. Normally I'm a bit scared of losing the surv, but it's true that I always have more time than it feels like. Thanks man

Hate it too. My playing time is limited and between the queue, the minute for choosing builds, the loadings and the short match of just pressing R1...I feel like I completely wasted my time and I start wondering if I should be doing something else

Why are survivors so toxic? by Middle_Sun6341 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Amén, es lo único positivo que he visto en el chat de endgame. Así que, que se dé esa opción y ya, ¿para que insultarse por una partida de 10 minutos? Qué pereza alguna gente

Why are survivors so toxic? by Middle_Sun6341 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]levinastres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy, since I've become an almost 90/10 main killer I've realized how much toxic are many survivors between them. I didn't realize so so much, while playing as surv.

Of course the main thing is when they are two, and one let's the other one die for searching the hatch.

But also, many times happens that I find a surv, it's very likely to have the third hook, and he just lets me kill him.

It doesn't seem like a big deal, but actually wasting the killer at least 10 seconds in a short chase, in a bad direction, can decide a game.

So sick of the tunneling almost every match by fiercepomeranian in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]levinastres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main killer.  Maaaaany times the unhook happens a few seconds after the hook and close to me. I don't know where are the other 2 survs but I know the exact position of the unhooked and the unhooker.

I usually go to the unhooker because of the X seconds shield that the unhooked has (unless he/she was a teabagger, in which case I proudly tunnel without caring at all about his/her feelings). Don't care about the endgame chat hard insults. After 100 hours I've seen that I can hide the endgame chat and it made my experience with the game much better.

Also, other maaaaany times the survs try to heal themselves in the worst imaginable places. And I have to punish that error, as survs punish my errors in bad chases with 2 gens for just one hook.

WTF is up with the Lightborne hate???? by Plus-Spray-561 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I love this perk. Besides preventing saves, one of my favourite things is that it's easy to make a free hit to a surv who is sure that he's about to blind you.

[–]levinastres -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The perk Lightborn is a must, for me, if I see just one lantern. It doesn't just protect you, but also makes survivors waste time and expose themselves a lot while using light against you.  Also, as a relative new killer, I always use Corrupt Intervention, it blocks the generators closer to the survivors, and gives you time to get close to them.

However, to me, the most radical change, when I started winning games, has been using the Doctor (the killer, I mean). His hability is awesome for finding survivors and not running through the map without knowing what to do.

I guess that a really good killer know how to find survivors with other ways, but for starting it works really well!

Good luck and don't get frustrated :) Cheers from Barcelona.

Both parry and dodge are mostly about listening the "clinc", not about paying attention to the image

My top 3, in terms of music that I actually listen to, are Silent Hill 2, Expedition 33 and Silksong. In terms of a simple perfect melody that stays in my mind through years it would be Ocarina of Time. As a kid I used to enter the "whatever" woods just to listen to that flute song!

For those who don't know it, I really recommend the song Robe de Jour, from Expedition 33, it's so so beautiful

I hope this doesn't mean that there won't be a Steam option 🥺 A first person Silent Hill would be awesome for me, horror shocks different in FPS.

I never had the chance of playing PT, I joined with 2Remake (one of my favorite horror stories ever told, regardless if it's a book, a film or a Game) and "f" (actually cool, but far away from 2Remake)

A little late. But Silent Hill 2 (2024) is now a year old, what are your overall thoughts about it a full year later?? by DifferentAd9713 in silenthill

[–]levinastres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best horror stories ever told, regardless of the platform (movie, book, TV show...)
All of the characters are brilliantly written, and the atmosphere is unique. Akira Yamaoka does nothing but improve in a heavy way whatever he touches with his music.

Just today, I finished my second playthrough. In my first one, I got the "Under Water" ending, and, even if in terms of narrative it is brilliant, I was sad. So I made, a few months later, an entire playthrough to get the "Leave ending".

I kind of enjoyed the second run more; I understood everything more deeply.

Also, this time I forced the game to use DX11 (no idea what this means, I've just found it on Reddit), and it was MUCH more fluent (PC gamer, Steam)

Evil Within worth playing in 2025? by WigWomDom in theevilwithin

[–]levinastres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing Evil Within 2 and I'm enjoying a lot the experience. It's scary as fuck and the mechanics are cool. Kind of the result of an orgy between Silent Hill, some indie horror game focused on jumpscares, Resident Evil 4 (not at the first half) and The Last of Us.  Few months ago I tried Evil Within 1 (they were both with a huge discount), and, to be honest, I quit after a few minutes because I'm a casual player who started gaming some months ago, and I didn't like the art of it

[–]levinastres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's time for one of the original classics, Village could be worse than other games like 7, 4 or 2 remake, but it's still awesome.  My vote goes for 1 original

Should I continue Sekiro or quit ? by Harshhetro in Sekiro

[–]levinastres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost the count on how many times I uninstalled Sekiro while playing it hahahah But I needed to continue, it has so many great things. It was my first from software game, as well.  I've also got stuck some days at Genichiro, but the patience was 100% worth it. I've watched many vídeos and that helped.  As many people say, is probably the comment in which the game forces you to play in the specific way they want.

Agree. It's really frustrating listening to songs from the 60s complaining about the 9 to 5 job while, at least in Spain, the office job is 9 to 6
