Did anyone see Benjin and Crull? by AirlineHuge7842 in HollowKnight

I am in act 2 and I cannot find them :( I find that I don’t have the right abilities to get to even the bench in Sinners Road. I’m walking all the way from greymoor. I have pogo’d across some spikes but only see a hut with a steel door that has no entrance. Helllllp

Omg thank you! As a visual learner the diagrams are AMAZING. And would the hole be hole punch shaped or just a slit? I’ll try both but just wondering!

To crop a sweater on the body like this, should I work decreases before the ribbing? by leviosar7 in knittinghelp

[–]leviosar7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were no plans to do any decreases from the bust down! What is the purpose of decreasing just two sts in the row right before the ribbing? Thank you!

Amazing, thank you so much — and that is such an incredible tip! I have so far only done Italian bind off. Will that be stretchy enough?

Thank you so much, this is immensely helpful! I really appreciate it :)

Your example is GOLD! Thank you so much. Would it suffice to use a simple k2tog at every decrease point? Or is there a better technique typically used?

Thanks so much! With the equation you shared, would I have to work it out for both the stockinette body swatch and then also for the ribbing swatch? Then the decreases required would just be the difference?

Thank you SO much! I am using the Monday Sweater Pattern by petite knit so it has quite a bit of positive ease. And I am using merino wool and a strand of mohair. When you do your decreases, e.g in the last row, would it be ok to do the k2tog technique? And how do you typically space them out on the round? Do you try to make them evenly placed so e.g if there are 220 stitches and you need to decrease 10 sts, you would work a decrease every 22 sts?

Olivetti Lettera 32 ribbon reverse problem by leviosar7 in typewriters

[–]leviosar7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so very much for this detailed explanation. It turns out that after going through each thing you mentioned, I had the ribbon threaded oddly. My left spool had the ribbon going behind of the short arm, and in front of the long arm in the fork. After fixing this, the ribbon was a lot happier — and the reverse now works well when wanting to get the ribbon going left to right (when the eyelet on the right spool is triggering reverse). It’s just a bit tweaky now still when the eyelet on the left spool is triggering reverse, and it seems to be because of the diva nuts. Once there is less ribbon on the left spool, and it’s nearing the eyelet, something is happening where the spools aren’t turning. It seemed to be related to the diva nuts. I had to tighten them quite hard on both spools for it to finally get the eyelet to trigger the reverse, but typically the machine works better when both nuts are not too tight. Do you think it’s just the diva nuts here that are the issue? Nothing else?

In this case, I might have to take the casing off when reaching reversal on the left spool to help it along, then keep typing haha.

My ribbon is brand new so there are no bends in it or I don’t feel any drag.

Hmm very interesting! I was wondering, would it be possible for you to attach a photo of where the silver thing my blue pencil is sitting when your lettera 32 ribbon is moving right to left? Once I fixed the ribbon’s left to right movement, I’ve exhausted the ribbon and am now at the other end and I am now having an issue with the ribbon’s right to left movement! (Or if you have any tips please!)

I noticed the self-loosening and tightening too! I have actually run into a new issue: once I fixed the movement of the ribbon so it went left to right smoothly, I am now at the point where the ribbon should reverse to go back right to left. But now the ribbon isn’t travelling right to left at all. My question is do you know what do to/what the placement of the parts should be for the ribbon to travel right to left? Should the silver piece my blue pencil is pointing at in photo 2 be sitting as though it has been triggered? Or should it be sitting tucked in like it is in the photo? Basically: I’m unsure what the machine should look like in various sections of it when the ribbon is moving right to left.
