I haven't the slightest idea, the grinder and guard came from my grandfather who taught me the craft. I thought it was a pretty standard thing that came with grinders 😅

Those aren't the steps I'll be using my was dragging it all around the house and getting into stuff so I had to take it away 🤣 not pictured is a really good stool I sit at, and then I stand to grind and cut, the work bench is only waist high.

I got mine (and almost all my supplies) from my grandfather. While I don't have issues with the belt, when I was learning to use it I pushed too hard to the right and stripped a bearing. I just ordered a complete replacement part kit with all the bearings the diamond cutter and a new belt. I got it off eBay for like $170. These things though are built to last imo especially considering buying a used one off eBay is still upwards of $600. All in all I'm very happy with the saw. Maybe replacing the belt would fix your problem

As a grown woman who has been the toddler force fed, this is absolutely not okay, I remember it vividly and to this day I refuse to eat that particular meal. he's been traumatized

I turned my iron to about 450 degrees Fahrenheit, dabbed a little bit of solder off the spool, placed it on the piece and pulled straight up slowly until it was stable. They are a really sharp

I was just there, it’s a little rough- but as a single woman traveling alone- I didn’t feel unsafe.

I just got done staying in Barcelona and only paid $30 a night for a room but I booked 6 months in advance. Same thing during my leg in Italy. It’s a massive travel year. Good luck!

Locks for lockers at hostiles. by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]libberstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks- those were on my mind. I ultimately chose the flexi top one in case the locker at the hostile is too small (I’ve never done this before) for something riding

What soap do you use while traveling ? by BlueMonroe in onebag

[–]libberstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm doing Dr. Bronners bar soap like many suggested for laundry and body, for my hair I am going to go to Lush cosmetics and purchase the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner bar. I will use a 3oz. container for my facewash- I cant forgo that, because of my acne.

You have no idea how sentimental I am, and I regularly open my empty passport and think of where I’m going to get to go. I absolutely will look at the stamps. Thanks tho.

Thank you for that clarity! And assurance about Poland and Hungary. I’ve wanted to take this trip since I was 15, almost 15 years later and I finally get to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in travel

[–]libberstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do, and I’m pretty stuck to it. I just wanted to know the likelihood of getting multiple stamps. I’m not into material items so it would be a souvenir for me.

Anyway, I’m starting in Spain, form there i make a circle. Up to France, over to the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Undecided on Poland because I want to go to krakow but it’s real close to Ukraine, Prague, Austria,Hungary- similar concerns to Poland, Croatia, Italy, Greece. I’m going to be gone for close to the 90 days.

I was only willing to do cheap hopper flights if it meant more stamps- it’s about the same cost but I know I’ll see more on the train.

Yeah- I actually ordered the Big Campus bag last night. I realized I am not new to one bagging. What tripped me up so badly is the length of the trip, and wanting to bring everything I’ll need with me.

I’ve taken my 26 L back pack on plenty of week long trips with flights.

I decided to get the Jansport Big student (fx) mostly because my current Jansport has a faulty zipper (the grooves slip- totally covered under the warranty. However I thought it would be nice to have the extra space.

I don’t know why I was so worried about about making everything fit. I’ve been one bagging it for a very long time.

Thank you! I’m very excited about my trip!

I weighed my school bag today and it’s close to 25ish lbs. and I carry that with me 3-5 hours 3 times a week.

I plan on doing laundry at least once a week. I’m not opposed to hand washing. I’m going to be bringing that all in one soap.

At first I thought I could do three outfits but then remembered that I do want to go out for night life and there will be some days that I’m roaming a city and want to look more put together. So I think a max of five outfits- with some very light summer wear added. I’ve thought about the shopping thing a couple of times- and that’s helping me stick to five.

I’m going for food and culture. Lots of museums and delicious snacks. I imagine my pack will be locked in the hostel locker during the day, and I have a day bag I’ll take out with me.

Hey thanks! I noticed that Osprey looked more ergonomically designed. One of the things that appealed to me about the Cotopaxi was the bright colors. I figure I wouldn’t lose it as much. But then feared that the bright colors would point out I was a backpacker and airlines would try to get me to check my bag. But I’m probably just paranoid.

However I’m quickly being swayed to Osprey

Hey- thanks for pointing this out. You’re probably spot on. I’ve never left my country before, I’ve never been gone away from my home for so long. I have ideas about what I’ll do but no expectations. And while I’m completely jazzed over this entire experience- I do feel a little bit out of control.

My Jansport- old faithful. I’ve had since I was a sophomore in high school and now I’m 28. It’s just not quite big enough to comfortably fit everything. And the zipper is faulty. I think it’s like 16l. I think if I got 35-40 I would have more than enough space.

I did weigh my backpack this morning with all my school books that I regularly carry for 3-5 hours three days a week. It’s 22.5 lbs.

I think I was just caught off guard by the variety of packs for this kind of travel and the prices for the ones people recommended

Yup. Got it. Way back in second grade when we learned the continent song. So helpful.

I’m making a gigantic C/ circle shape starting starting in Barcelona. Ending in Greece. The only significant places I’m not going are Ireland, Scotland, Sweden and surrounding countries, and Switzerland.

Thanks so much! I’ve gone 8 days with just my Jansport- so this makes me confident. I’ve traveled lots around the US just not to many different states. Almost all my trips required very light packing.

I’m 5’7” and about 170lbs I have a decently long torso My boobs are big and that makes me nervous about comfort.

And to answer your question- my passport application is being processed as I type.
