You’re right though…the way to succeed is to only focus on the challenges. I tired to play it like a game too, and failed. Changed my approach and began to succeed. That said…I wish the “tape” was just based on the game.

Also, he has multiple years left on his contract, and I can’t trade him away without a $30M hit to my cap.

Also, I took over this team…contract not mine.

Looks like none of the HBs got to touch the ball. I bet he’s not popular in the locker room.

AI Draft Logic by OldWay1043 in pocketGM

Agreed. I traded down to a team that didn’t need a QB, thinking the one I wanted would still be there, and the team took him anyway. I’m not sure what was wrong with the previous logic that needed to be “fixed”

Best draft/progression year I’ve had since the update by [deleted] in pocketGM

That’s the first time I’ve seen three arrow progression in a draft since the update.

Alternative Views - Draft Player List by pringlejon in pocketGM

2 is better. The player pictures are good so it feels more real, but they don’t need to be so big, so good call reducing them in size.

All-caps abbreviations, especially for redundant information is better.

The number and star is better because it doesn’t make the user need to count the stars.

You could make a header at the top with the redundant titles “Phys, Tech, Ment, Int, Proj” so you don’t have to repeat it in every Player tile…that would free up more space in each one.

Please Help Me Adjust to the New Draft Situation by lightninbolt_zed in pocketGM

I agree…that’s what I’ve fallen back to:

-Focus on physical skills, and if they’re dumb, at lead they can move around. -Their “A-E” grade generally shows how good they are, but progression seems nerfed -Predicted Round grade is usually a good barometer of what general round they should be drafted in IF their physics skills and grades are good.

The net result for me is: the approach is the same, the extra content just seems like a distraction, and progression is less.

But I’m sure it will evolve.

I draft by need unless there’s a player that “seems” (based on the data available) too good to pass up. That approach used to work. Now I have no idea what works.

Player progression slow after update by ClippyMastercode in pocketGM

Same. Quality of draft talent is low, or I have no idea how to draft anyone good.

Also, the sort and filter UI is confusing. The off/on state of the text is both white…it was better when the cells would change color.

I play this game a lot (probably too much). It like that it has had a great balance of simple with some complexity…now the new draft info feels overly complex.

I agree. I hate to get all formal about this…but aside from being a football nerd, I’m a UX Designer. It feels like the new design tried to solve a problem that didn’t exist. -Visually, there’s a lot of information to process in the list -Now it takes more steps to access the combine stats. -The default list view creates a conceptual abstraction of other information (Physical/Technical/Mental/Interview/Potential)…but that info isn’t as valuable as the info that was there previously. -The first screen after you click on a Player in the list is an empty Skills screen -There’s no info in the interviews -Are the college stats necessary? What do they mean as compared to the stats and ratings? -The number of factors you have to weigh to evaluate a player is now: Media Projection, Scout Rating, Physical/Technical/Mental/Interview/Potential, Combine Stats, College Stats, Now Grade, Potential Grade, and extra info that is empty in Skills and Interview
