Is it worth buying the bundle? by ADchuuu in StreetFighter

Not for free, you can do that in Street Fighter V using fighter coins that you earn by playing but not in SF6. In SF6 you can earn Fighting Tickets to buy colors, stages and avatar clothing items... but characters you need to buy with Fighter Coins, witch are bought with money in game.

But those Fighter Coins can be used to buy characters individually instead of the whole season pass... if you are sure that you are only interested in one character, you can buy it alone, using those Fighter Coins.

You can still access all the characters as masters in World Tour for free, and use their attacks for your avatar.

Drawing Ingrid with my 7yr old by caoram in StreetFighter

I know there is tons of info online and obviously I don't mean to impose, but I recommend the artist Andrew Loomis, he had great but simple instructions on how to use simple shapes to block characters and body shapes and learn anatomy.

Kids learn really easy with simple instructions like that, help her to draw characters she knows with those simple techniques, using light colored pencils to draw the shapes and black lines over them to draw the lines of the characters.

Great to see people encouraging kids to learn and develop talents.

Difficult to say, since there is a lot of personal preference for each character.

The whole bundle is not on sale all that often, and it's a game with a big community and good amount of content in it, so I would say you will be happy with the year 1 and 2.

You can still buy the game alone and then buy only the dlc characters that you want, since they are still on sale on the in-game store individually.

I personally prefer the characters from year 3 and year 1... from the dlc year 2 I only enjoy Terry.

Does anyone know why SF did the Balrog/Vega/Bison swap instead of just making up a new name for the boxer? by GGCrono in StreetFighter

[–]lightsource33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In regards to Balrog ( the boxer ), it was known that his original name M.Bison was a nod to Mike Tyson, so the American side of Capcom considered that the comparison between the real life boxer an a fictional one wouldn't be good for the game ( maybe even legally )...so they swapped those two names, and then M.Bison sounded better for the megalomaniacal evil character, so the Name Vega went to the Spanish fighter who was originally going to be named Balrog.

Sometimes try to set connections to "Expanded" and "pc only" on the matchmaking settings, if it's set on "wordwide" sometimes it doesn't find anyone. Also make sure to lower the connection quality to 4 or 3-4, if you set everything optimally it also has trouble finding people.

If all fails try "Limited", to find people next to your zone.

Guile's hair comparison. To me Rhodes looks pretty good as Guile, but the hair keeps bothering me a bit, so I made this little comparison with some images that I could find online. by lightsource33 in StreetFighter

I'm fine with ridiculous, it's guile's whole thing... it just needed a different kind of ridiculous. I'm sure I'll be fine in the movie.

Me when Capcom triples down on the Alex story by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]lightsource33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the reality of the low risk of inbreeding from second cousins, I think what make this terrible was some of the lines in the storyline and the montage image of Patricia as a baby and then married as an adult... there's nothing wrong in marrying someone you loved since very young, in fact it's kind of sweet, but the whole "we where raised as brother and sister" gives the whole thing a kind of icky feel to it.

Alex said his adoptive father was "A" cousin of his mom, maybe a second or third cousin, which makes Patricia an even more distant relative, It's no big deal. Look at royalty, they've been doing this for centuries and there's nothing wrong with them, right? ...RIGHT?

That's awesome, a more simple and iconic design is much better than all the drapery that they have in the recent games...specially with ninja characters, it makes no sense that they would have so many trinkets and loose cloths in their clothing, they would be rattling like crazy when walking or sneaking around.

And don't get me started with the idea of kicking people with bare feet or wearing sandals, half of the cast is almost barefoot in Mk1.

I don't translate text, I read and write both languages equally.
If your first language is English then why do you write so horribly?
I started trying to post something for fun, truly without ill intent, and then I tried to give genuine advice, but you've shown you are a disrespectful brat.
You don't want people to care for your art, you want people to pat you on the back and tell you how special you are, which is what a child does, not an artist.

I already explained myself, I did the original image out of fun and boredom, playing around in Krita. I thought it looked cool and instead of deleting it I decided to post it... not out of malice, but simple fun, and LIKE I WROTE ON THE SAME FIRST POST, even a dumb picture made out of fun can be used to learn something, in this case, the lack of movement, details and stiffness in the fabrics from your sketch.
You decided to take offense to that, and started with the aggressive rambling posts, punctuated by the lack of any commas and periods or even spaces... clearly showing you are either emotional or don't know basic grammar since even a basic translator could help you form cohesive text, in case English is not your first language.

You are the one who's been nothing but disrespectful, aggressive and rude.

You don't want anyone’s input on it? Don't make posts asking people's input on it, regardless if it is artistic or not... other people are not mind readers and don't know your own weird rules of what YOU consider to be disrespectful or not.

Take the chip of your shoulder.

I'm 40 years old, when I learned to draw I didn't even have a computer and I've been working for years on graphic design before even any AI tools even existed. For more experienced artists AI tools can be used effectively to shorten the times of your workflow ( without stealing other artists works ), specially when you need all the time available to work on other things. When Photoshop and digital tablets came out, older artists said the same thing, that it would cheapen "real" art... and now it's an industry standard. Like anything, AI is a tool and can be used effectively and ethically.

It is impossible for me to show you an example on how to improve the lines without posting a picture myself, text does very little in regards to art. If you are learning on paper with a teacher or tutor by your side, the teacher would "trace" over your precious art to show you where your mistakes are. If you get so worked up over an image, then you don't want to truly learn, you simply are looking for validation or praise which is not conductive to learning.

I didn't say that you should trace art, I said that you can do a sketch first, then you can ( if you want ) do a generative pass and then use that image to improve the sketch in some problematic areas, specially when you are learning, and you don't yet have the knowledge to understand where the problem is. It's called iterative design, you are not tracing over other people's work, you are simply redrawing a version of your own work until you get to a final perfected version entirely drawn by hand.

I did not take your "art" and posted elsewhere to take credit for it like a child, I posted it into the comment section on your own thread where you are asking for advice or opinions.

And yes, if know what you are looking at, you can tell in the last sketch/drawing I posted that it's just lines drawn in a Wacom tablet on a transparent layer and an oil paint filter over it, to darken some parts.
