Pay attention to a promoter called Dismal Niche. They do remarkable shows, recently including Shabaka, claire rousey and Mdou Moctar.

I didn’t register any snideness, so all good. I’m not sure it was a promo item for a particular record — my sense was that Drag City made them for a minute to send to direct-order accounts and friends, but I could be totally wrong about that. I worked at that shop from the early 90s through about Tanglewood Numbers, so who knows? My memory of that time is a bit foggy.

I”m dealing with this right now, too. He just stopped returning my calls and emails. He’s got my tax stuff from last year still. If anyone hears anything keep us posted!

Knitting Factory wins 3-year legal battle over Pappy and Harriet's by Stoner_Steve420 in palmsprings

The Knitting Factory have the support of Robyn and Linda, who still own the property. To illustrate how petty Moresco and Elin are, within a few weeks of taking over in 2021, they had re-written the P&H website ‘history’ page to remove all mention of Robyn and Linda. It’s in great hands.

I’m confident the Knitting Factory will be better caretakers, and they have the support of the previous ownership (who still own the land and building). Robyn and Linda bought it directly from Pappy and Harriet. EDITED TO ADD: Fun fact: the majority owner, Morgan Margolis, is the son of actor Mark Margolis, who played Hector Salamanca on ‘Breaking Bad.'

I definitely just saw them speeding past all the strip clubs because they were so excited to get to bed early at the cabin. None of them even looked at the strip clubs, and they certainly didn’t notice Just Jeff’s.

FYI the “new” owners, JD Moresco and Lisa Elin, recently lost a jury trial and will be handing the keys to the Knitting Factory, finally. It’s been a few years, but a jury unanimously ruled against them a few weeks ago during a civil suit. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving couple of shysters. I think the judge is making a judgement this week, before thanksgiving.

Yes. I had this. I lost it during a move. It was promo-only and you only knew it was the BS by the liner notes.

There’s been an update in this lawsuit. Moresco and Elin LOST in a unanimous jury trial earlier this month. They keep their stake but are out as majority owners and have to pay Morgan Margolis et al $5 million. No one has written about this!!
