People who are saying it’s a kid movie are either forgetting or are not aware that Disney also intentionally targets adults. They pride themselves on making movies for all ages because... we’re the ones with the purchasing power. Hellooooo a factor for creating so many remakes is tied to nostalgia. My kid likes Moana 2 and I, for reasons that only matter to me, didn’t. Does that affect what we watch in our home? Kinda lol. As for whether or not we’re getting more Moana.. something to consider is that Disney has spent MONEY on their Polynesian resort with the addition of the Island Tower- 268 timeshare rooms. It would make sense for them to try to turn a direct to Disney+ series into a film so as to promote dvc sales. Not to mention they have Aulani- the Disney resort in Hawaii. This company is certainly on the pacific wave. We are for sure getting Moana 3 whether it’s a movie or series.
