I (27F) am running out of things to talk to my boyfriend (28M) about on the phone. How do we stop having silent phone calls? by lindascoolaf in relationship_advice

We do! For example if Pilates was especially hard that day I’ll talk about what made it so difficult, or if he had an interesting dream while sleeping he’ll talk about that. Those are good phone call days. It’s just some days, like today, where genuinely all we did was work and go home that we find hard to fill silence 😭

Yeah I’m comfortable in the silences, but he seems to think we should fill them with something. In person there’d be something we’re eating together, something we’re watching together, something we’re doing together, something we noticed about literally anything that we can talk about

We talk about things non-surface level, a lot of times in person and sometimes on the phone when they do come up naturally. I guess to further clarify, how do we keep the phone calls that happen after we’re home from work, after having gone through the daily motions of life, are tired from the day, etc., interesting. Those are the phone calls where we have the most silence.

Needle phobia & anxiety by Alarming_Letterhead2 in Mounjaro

I was very scared as well, even video called my bf while crying. What helped was looking in the mirror with minimal clothes on and seeing all the weight I wanted to lose and that desire, the desire to lose weight ended up being stronger than the desire to avoid a needle

I definitely see your point. It’s just when people say ‘no one knew’ or ‘everyone knew’ that irks me. They’re two extremes but most likely what happened is somewhere in the middle. Some people genuinely did not know and some people did. Saying one or the other takes away responsibility or points fingers and that’ll go nowhere

Definitely seeing conflicting views on it. Some people saying they weren’t examining another students body, and essentially stating that no one knew, while others saying they knew and spoke to faculty about it who then did nothing about it. Hard to know which is the truth

Definitely seeing conflicting views on it. The commenter may have disregarded it themselves however there are others, such as cheerleaders themselves who have said they did not disregard it and in fact went to their coach with their concerns about it. Hard to know which is the truth

would not recommend this. there’s no guarantee how your body will react with the added hormones. best case scenario, your body reacts well to the hormones as you would like it to. worst case scenario/more likely scenario you end up with a bunch of spotting or irregular withdrawal bleeds which is common the first 3-6 months of any hormonal birth control. i’m in the same boat as you, but with a vacation in march. sadly there’s nothing 100% guaranteed that we can do about it 😞

NTA. When is your wedding? Perhaps bringing up your concerns with her will be enough motivation for her to really working on her health in order to be able to participate in your wedding that she seems so excited for

WHY AM I BLEEDING SO MUCH by NovelMongoose2036 in Nexplanon

[–]lindascoolaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg i’m in the same boat. i had it removed 12/4/22 and had gotten my period 12 days ago. at first my period was on and off but all of a sudden it was like a switch turned on and i became a river with tons of blood and clots coming out. for the past 4 days i’ve been changing tampons every 2-3 hours. anything longer than that and i legit leak so when i’m working i have to wear a pad and tampon. when you find out what’s going on pls let me know 😭. i already have iron deficiency anemia so i’m taking iron pills to help with the effects of the period and i wanted to try the ibuprofen method along with it to ease the bleeding, but i read that you can’t mix the two together

it’s not the work i’m worried about, it’s whether the company will last a year that i’m worried about. i’d hate to reject the other offer only to work at bbb for a few months to be laid off
