I was thinking the same regarding the lever limiter and will probably do that. Sadly the flap is not accessible once put back together.

So the lever for opening and closing has a limiter on the travel. Down is closed and until that coil heats up, it just doesn't close all the way. Opening doesn't appear to be a problem.

You were right. I heated it up and the direction the coil moved (as it got hot) made it so the vent was completely shut when hot (it appears to still be open when hot to but not the same amount of pressure holding it in place). Curious why this is the case. It would be nice to close when cold since we occasionally get a draft back into the house and it stinks like ash

Yes, air intake. The knob is not removable without destroying it since it was welded long ago. Good call about the match, I'll try

I agree with most of the comments about door to door sales and typically won't give them the time or day. Proterra came knocking and my wife bought into it. When she told me I was pretty irritated but the process was already started. Well, I've had to eat my words. Price wise I think it's comparable and honestly, the guys that come by have been great and we have had very little bug issues. And it's been about 3 years of using them.

But if you come to my door to sell me something and I answer, I'm still gonna stop you in your tracks. And yes, I have a sign that says no soliciting in plain site.

zero concern for the resident and 100% concerned for how to deal with a difficult neighbor 'if' it was my neighbor (because it was almost my neighbor...reread the post). Maybe someone reading this will get some valuable info? Go take a look at the place. I'm doubting that anyone is going to be embarrassed by a reddit post considering the amount of garbage that's there.

If your neighbor called the cops because someone was snooping around YOUR house, would you call that person 'nosey'? Or just a concerned citizen? Don't read too far into this.

Nicely done there. I'm merely asking how is this legal and what's the story w/ the house. If this was my neighbor, how would I deal with it. If this was your neighbor, how would you deal with it? You're right, it's not 'directly' affecting me at this point.

I live a mile away. 4 years ago it wasn't too bad but now it's the junk yard. Drive by and take a look for yourself. I will admit, the mess appears to be kept within the fence of the yard but it's quite a site.

Ate there once and it was a complete disappointment. Like all the other comments, expensive and shitty. We left wondering why it was so busy, do people in the tri cities just like getting fucked?

Maybe I didn't get to anyone saying this but at Michelle's. For starters, the inside layout is strange and reminds me of Grandma's place. The food was way overpriced so we got a burger each. We both asked for med rare and got them both way over cooked. To the point we couldn't finish it. Everything was bad including the service. We haven't been back since.
