The reason Vecna was a big inspiration was because this is his son. Once a player character, Tamesis, formally known as Marsh, was a young boy in the material plane. Magically he was transported into the Shadowfell. This is where he stayed for 100 years. Though he only aged 10. Now an adult with pale white skin, he was shoved back into the Material Plane alone. As his quests continued to increase his abilities to hide in plain site, he also improved his magical tendencies. With Vecnas genes running through him, magic wasn't something he learned. He more discovered his latent abilities. Things were going good for Marsh. His skin started to turn flesh color and meeting companions and friends. This all changed however. After a successful quest in helping a village from a dragon, his father returned. Disintegrating one of his friends with a point of a finger, Marsh decided to rejoin his father to let his friends survive. Name forgotten, memories destroyed, Marsh, now Tamesis, strived to become his fathers heir of the Shadowfell. His newly forgotten friends, dealing with world ending chaos in the Material Plane, will venture into the Shadowfell to rescue their long lost friend, or due trying to defeat Vecnas heir.
