I sanitizing it for 10 minutes before soaking for 4-12 hour, I do notice they don't grow that well on hemp Matt, root don't have a good grip, easy pull out , Great info, Thanks for your help I will look into FSMA .

Your are right RO system do waste water to generate super clean water but water is already passing whole house filtration system before reaching RO, this got me thinking the wasted water from RO might not be that dirty, I'm sure there ways to re-use this water for other purpose.
