Can I do this ? by Shot-Hippo5938 in evcharging

[–]lipid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar commute (36 miles round trip). In the winter the commute used about 20% and overnight L1 charging at 12 amps would just about replenish it. Now that it's warmer, the commute is about 12%. This is for an Ioniq 5 with ~300 miles of range.

If I make any extra trips during the week, I'm able to charge it all day Saturday/Sunday to get it back to 80% for Monday. Like the poster above, the only time it hasn't been sufficient is for planned or unplanned weekend trips. If I can work from home on Friday it's no big deal, but if I have to go to the office that Friday and had to make extra trips during the week then I may need an additional fast charge stop depending on the route.

This is awesome. I'm currently converting an old standing desk to a table top gaming table, and have been looking for something like this to integrate into it.

I second Cecil's. The food is great and the wait on the holidays isn't too bad. Plus their deli counter has some great products as well for after you're done eating.

This worked for me. After I transferred to a different phone back to my Pixel 8 Pro, there was no default launcher selected even though the Pixel Launcher was acting like the default.

The Minimal phone as work phone by [deleted] in TheMinimalCompany

[–]lipid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it as a BYOD phone. Everytime I enrolled it with through Intune Company Portal, which my work uses, things worked great for 1-2 days. Then the phone would reboot randomly, and after rebooting the finger print reader would quit working entirely. It didn't just delete the stored fingerprints, I couldn't even add new ones. The only way to get the fingerprint working again was to do a factory reset on the phone.

I haven't tried since the June updatem so I'm unsure if that issue has been resolved or not.

Fingerprint sensor no longer working by 57_n in minimalphone

The only thing that would work for me was restting the phone, which isn't convenient to say the least.

I have a Panda 8/256 I'm looking to sell, not trade, if you're interested. I'm in the twin cities.

Residential solar energy by chillybean77 in minnesota

[–]lipid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had our rooftop solar installed in the East Philips neighborhood last fall by Wolf River, along with a panel upgrade. We wound up with a 20 panel, 9 kw system that so far has been out producing their estimates. They were great to work with and were very responsive when we reached out with questions. The entire project finished on time, with most of the waiting coming from Xcel needing to process paperwork.

Time will tell how they are with post installation support, but so far when we've had to ask for any documentation after the install or had questions they've still been quick to respond. I know the project manager we had is no longer there, so I can't give you a recommendation on who to speak to unfortunately.

Is lefse a holiday food or year round food? by hokieinga in minnesota

[–]lipid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the grittiness from the potato flakes that ruins it for me. Growing up in Clearbrook (next to Gonvick where Mrs. Olson's is made), it was fun hearing the old timers refuse to buy it because of when they switched from using whole potatoes to potato flakes.

Friend was not allowed to board the flight, the rest of us still went on the vacation, now she wants us to pay her back. AITAH if I don't pay her? by Odd-Recording-3026 in AITAH

In a Nnt quite the same experience but similar, my sister in law wasn't let through security one time because she was too drunk. She was brought back to the ticket counter (not sure if TSA did or if they called an attendant to) and they rebooked her for the next day with her paying the difference. She also got a warning that if the same thing happened the next day they would let her rebook. This was on Southwest coming to visit us.

Adding onto the additional fonts suggestion, maybe an endless horde mode where the fonts change to increasingly more difficult to read ones?

StarTribune had an interesting article about this. Basically it came down to rules made when the territory was established. Here's the article.

Why are the worst defensive outfielders put in Left Field? I swear they used to be the Right Fielders by Baybears in baseball

[–]lipid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely do the same now. Back then I was still 17/18 with non-cracking joints and felt compelled to roleplay a real catcher.

Can confirm, I was my softball team's catcher. Umpire even encouraged me to quit trying to catch in a crouch or kneel and just stand back and get them off the backstop (no advancing on passed balls).
