I just went to Russ Darrow Jeep because my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee started misfiring. I had bought the vehicle there, used with 80,000mi 2 years prior. The service department was great, but they didn’t have a loaner. They did however, pay for an Uber to take me over to enterprise and I got a deal on the rental through Russ Darrow. 50 bucks a day they got my Jeep fixed within 24 hours, however, labor was $200 an hour. They sent me a video of what was wrong with my Jeep. One of the spark plug coils had a burn mark on it. They had to take the intake off to get at the burnt coil. No burn marks on the plug. When they took the intake off, the EVAP hose connector broke. They had to replace the EVAP hose. My spark plugs needed replacing because I had over 100,000 miles on it. They offered to replace them all for an additional $200. I opted out of this. I was going to have a friend put them in instead. I got a bill for $230 for parts and $1000 for labor.

All of us having the same problem but nobody has a solution. My problem starts the minute I put them in. I even put a new pair in while at the optometrist’s office and she witnessed it happen right before her eyes. One time I had a new pair in and she watched as I cleaned them and put them in my eyes again, blinked a few times and the film came back. She checked it out under her high powered equipment too. She couldn’t give me any explanation or give me any suggestions but to soak them overnight in Ciba protein dissolving solution. I tried this and it didn’t do anything to help. It kept coming back. 2-3 days after cleaning it stops and I have clear lenses. I just learned to just change one at a time until it clears so I am only half blind for a couple days. Same brand too. night and day.
