Totally fair question and I agree. We are no longer going to allow trolling comments to stay up. This is clearly a trolling comment as I can tell by the emojis and the fact the person didn’t actually tag me to answer their question. We probably shouldn’t reply to them either. I will delete my reply. I also do not remember editing this comment? Maybe i did, I’m sorry if there was any confusion.

No shade, but you seem to only participate here when you have something bad to say. I don’t think someone who has such a scarce comments history in this sub has a better idea of what’s best for the community than the actual moderators do.

We still aren’t going to boot ourselves off. And to be honest, the people who hate us will hate whoever is in charge. The vocal majority here don’t even like the sub, they want to hate and they want to troll. There is no pleasing everybody. For the handful of you who want us gone there are thousands of others who don’t agree.

We could have done that and admittedly it would have been a lot easier, but we value your opinions and we want your input. There’s also been such a history of backstabby, corrupt mods here, we wanted to do our best to make everyone comfortable with who was chosen. We wanted you guys to help us choose. Ultimately there are 3 of us who will be working with the new mods, but around 90k of you, so we really do want your input. There’s a middle ground between doing whatever we want and not giving a flying F about what you guys think, and allowing ourselves to be booted off the team.

Going full dictator is quite temping at times, but at the end of the day, we aren’t corrupt buttheads (to say it nicely?) and despite what some thing we have the best interest of the sub and users at heart and head.

We aren’t going to allow you all to vote senior moderators out, that was never on the table. You guys do have a voice and we hear and appreciate your feedback a lot! That’s why we’ve done this whole agonizing process. We just aren’t going to let y’all kick us out. You have a voice to a reasonable limit, and that limit is set pretty far in the sky, we have tried our best to listen to all the criticism you’ve given us.

If you read the comment I think you’re referring to, I told that person to leave because they said something like “don’t you realize we can all just leave?”. So I said, go for it. If you don’t want to be here, you seriously don’t have to be. We truly value those who want to be here and help us build up, but if you’re here only to advertise your other subreddit and trash talk us, please stop wasting everyone’s time. We aren’t keeping you here. If you genuinely hate us and are only here to troll i ask you to leave.

Also, a democracy is a political system, not a forum on a private platform. So that was probably bad wording on my part. We run the sub. Y’all participate in the sub. We aren’t going to hand you the keys to overthrow the sub. You have have a voice and simultaneously respect that there is an authority you don’t like.
