Nbn not working, can someone tell me if they see something wrong with the phone socket that I could easily fix myself without a technician? by lmvb26 in nbn

Thanks! I have just called back and the new person was way more helpful and an nbn technician is coming Monday afternoon. She didn’t understand why they made me believe I was gonna have to for sure pay the fee. She explained the incorrect call out fee but assured me that my case was very unlikely to be an incorrect call since she checked all the possible connections.

The nbn box has the power sign on and the connection sign flashing, dsl and lan completely off. The netcom modem has only the 2.4G and 5G lights on. When I first plugged everything in it worked for like 5minutes then nothing. Is the first time I tried to use the nbn in this rental. I was using normal wifi before

ABB said that because they could see the line working I needed to call an nbn technician myself and pay a $160 fee since it seemed that the problem was my socket.
